Elizabeth Edwards is Dead. MSNBC is reporting.

After a six-year battle with breast cancer, Elizabeth Edwards has died at age 61, ABC News has learned. Earlier this week it was announced that Edwards, who had been admitted and then released from the hospital over Thanksgiving, had stopped all cancer treatment.

Wow... I just heard last night that she stopped treatment because the doctors said there was no more they could do...

OMG!!!
I was just watching the news this morning and they made it seem like she just made the decision to stop treatment on the advice of her doctors who told her continuing the treatment wouldn't do any good. NOW SHE'S DEAD JUST LIKE THAT???
I think she could have lived a little longer were it not for the stress she's been under. May she rest in peace. Poor thing. | |

When the doctors do that, death is typically imminent. This happened to my aunt. They even TOLD her we are putting you as DNR even if you don't agree. She died 2 days later. | |

She was classy till the very end. At least she will no longer be in any pain. She will be missed. RIP Elizabeth Edwards.

I hope John is agonizing. Their marriage didn't have to end the way it did. I feel sorry for her young kids. They are too young to lose a mommy. | |

I really liked that lady. Just yesterday, she was saying goodbye on her Facebook page. I think her last years were a great example of how to "go out" in style. She really made the most of every moment. May she be resting peacefully.

I wish I could find a photo of her when she was young. She was smoking! She still looked good to the end IMO. Very pretty lady. I hope they give her a lovely memorial. | |

Gurl, I was watching CNN today after I heard she passed, and one of those dumb ass analysts actually said something like, "She was married to this gorgeous man even though she wasn't so good lookin'"
