"Fairytale of New York" is a good one smile

I don't usually like the Christmas songs that are usually played on the radio in Iceland, mainly because they're always the same 10 songs over and over plus a few Italian songs with Christmas-y lyrics in Icelandic..confused

But I'd like to present to y'all a brand new Christmas song - a bit different from the other songs posted here..

The song is in Icelandic, it's called "Jólaknús" (means "Christmas hug") and it's about a single girl who finds love a few days before Christmas. The music is written and performed by my good friend Mamiko, but I composed the lyrics. biggrin

I also love Madonna's Santa Baby

John: I've thought that too! nod

Total: faint Sacrilege!

Have you ever heard Johnny Cash's or Jimi Hendrix's "Little Drummer Boy" ?

My favorite is the Harry Simeon Chorale's version.

Lets name our fave Christmas song, or two!!

biggrin

And whats up with the really little fonts?

My fave is

http://www.youtube.com/wa...r_embedded

That's one of the few I don't mind, at this point. lol Also

"Merry Christmas, Baby" - Springsteen (even I'm sick of his "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" lol)

"Run Rudolph Run" - Keith Richards version

"Blue Christmas" - Mary Margaret O'Hara version

"What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?" - Mary Margaret O'Hara

"Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis" - Tom Waits

2000 Miles - Pretenders

The Hanukkah Song - Adam Sandler

"Last Christmas" - Wham version

"Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)"

The Hall & Oates version of that Band one ("Son of a carpenter...")

Off the top of my head. shrug Truth be told, I'm not a fan of Xmas music and try to avoid it. boxed

As for the really little fonts, the answer is:

When I was really little we lived in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Talk about snow! When we moved to Nebraska, I was upset because it wouldn't snow until about a week before Christmas. Now since I've lived in the South for 14 years, you can keep snow! lol My poor family doesn't get to see me during any of the winter months. My other half grew up in the South and he won't deal with it at all. Guess I'm stuck in the South. It really has thinned my blood. And spread my ass! lol Southern cookin'! wink
