Can I be blunt, they haven't been taught or raised, this is basic curtesy / manners.

For Christmas Holiday if you don't do the Golden Corral thing, don't wait for them to offer, tell them to get up and help clean up. A couple of years ago we went to family wedding and my mother cooked greens for a dinner paryt, she had what was the equivalent of 40 gallon garbage bag. So everyone was helping pick these greens, when my mother asked our cousin if she'd assist she said no. My mother said, I came from a house of 12 and the rule was, if you don't help you don't eat. She didn't eat either, she did have youth as an excuse for being silly, this chick was good in grown.
