Should they ban Four Loco?

The energy drink, alcoholics delight that tastes like flavored piss may be banned because of the amount of alcohol hiding in it.

This sells big in the black community because of the fast high. We certainly don't need another malt liquor type slime drink that starts more violence in the hood.

They should not ban it but they should put it in a can that looks like beer and label it with a warning.

I dont know anything about this drink, but they def need to do something about some of these energy drinks. I cringe when I see them in the hands of 13 year olds.

I see no basis to ban it. Another case of the government in your pantry. If you think it is dangerous do not use it.

But to ban it because a few people drank too much?

And why is all of a sudden it oh so dangerous to mix alcohol and caffeine?

In the city I live in they absolutely need to ban that drink... I think it is banned here actually. hmmm

The makers of that product made this drink available for the sole purpose of taking advantage of stupid young people looking for a cheap high. Its this very reason why I think no company should profit on making a product that can get people sick.

I agree make it like cigarettes and make it 18 to buy it or drink it. But a ban on a product that has been around and legal in one form or another for decades is down right foolish.

OF FYI: I do not drink it and I do not plan to and I would likely turn it down if offered. But I know some people of a similar mind want to ban giant hamburgers for the same kinds of reason and dang it I like big ass greasy hamburgers.

so because kids break the law to get it that means no one should have it? and we are going to let the government decide for us all?

and I am naive?

like those idiot kids that stole a car and ran away from home and illegaly obntained and drank this stuff and suprise the kid crashed the car and killed the little girl... and that is being used as an arguemtn to ban this?

or the idiot gals that go to a party and drank too much and then got sick and then said they were drudged? Well yeah they were by themselves!

Four loko's are awful.. Now I'll chug a JOOSE!

They shouldn't ban it, but they should be stricter when carding in the stores that sell them..

says right on the can

contains alcohol

and 12% alc/vol

buyer beware

if they're not gonna take a long hard look

at all alcohol sales, then this stays too

maybe they should ban red bull & vodka while they're at it

How is it you feel?

I drunk a Joose at night once, and was up angry all night.. You should probably only drink these (Loko or Joose) if you're hanging out or going to a rave or something lol

Alcohol AND caffeine? Yeah, they need to sell that shit BEHIND THE COUNTER. MAKE FOLK ASK FOR IT IF THEY WANT IT. That way, any kids trying to buy it would be quickly identified and any adults trying to buy it for kids may think twice. Haven't you all seen the news reports? Already I think at leat 5 young people have died since this stuff became popular. They should rename it SUICIDE IN A CAN or CANNED SUICIDE.

Okay, I'm not understanding the thread. I'm totally lost.

Maybe cuz I live in PA and u can't buy alcohol in a grocery store?

So it looks like an energy drink and the kids are taking it to the counter and the cashier rings it up cuz she doesn't realize its not a plain energy drink???

I think the young lady who just died over the weekend was 22, so even those of legal drinking age think they can handle this junk. It is clear that the manufacturers of this poison is targeting young people, and I bet you there are cases of this shit in black neighborhood liquor stores.

In Montgomery County, Maryland and in Virginia, beer and wine can be sold in grocery stores, but not hard liquor.

Young adults are getting their hands on this stuff and a few deaths have occurred due to alcohol poisoning on college campuses.

Each can has enough alcohol equal to six beers and a tons of caffine, a dangerous combo because it makes your heart go into overdrive. If someone has a low tolerance then they pass out or get real sick fast.
