I took my 10 year old to see Secretariat...it's been out awhile so it wasnt crowded, it's a small theatre...

woman walks in with two kids..probably about 6 and 5 yrs old, and they're 15 minutes late...so the 5 year old asks mommy questions about the movie, and mommy answers....loud enough for everyone in the theatre to hear them!

I told them to shush, but they didn't

the woman sitting in front of me got up and said to the woman...if you don't shutup, im getting the manager....not a peep from them after that

until the movie was over.

mommy and the two kids get up and walk over to the woman, and mommy says, that's no way to talk to a 5 year old..the woman said "who's the parent of those kids? they're supposed to be quiet in a movie theatre mom!

And do you know my mom was pissed at me that I called the police on her loser asshole drunk boyfriend???

WTF.

She was yelling at me and the police were giggling because her face was full of grapefruit pulp. Stuff was falling of the tip of her nose as she yelled at me.

I am so glad she rid herelf of him, he would try to kill her with a slice of cheese if he could. Lunatic!

Once when I was at the supermarket with my mom, I was opening my trunk for her groceries while she brought her cart over to the car. Apparently, my 70 plus year old mom wasn't moving fast enough for the heffa behind her, who was about my age. She snapped at my mother, "could you get the f*ck out of my way!

Yes folks...I lost it.

I loaded mom and the groceries up and followed that skank to her car, pulled up behind her and told her that if she ever spoke to my mother like that again, or anybody else's for that matter, I would put my foot up her ass.

I've never done anything like that before and wouldn't do it again, but sometimes even us upstanding, well meaning adults have our moments.

I hit my mother's boyfriend over the head with a lamp and knocked him on his ass out cold because he was trying to suffocate my mom with a grapefruit half.

A grapefruit? Dayum. Ya kind of hate to have to deal with that kind of thing, but in that case, it's a good thing you were there.

In my case I had no intention of fighting, but anything could have happened so what I did wasn't very smart.

Don't know what got into me, lol

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

If you want to get along with just about anybody, leave mama alone, and the mama jokes, too.

I find this typical of kids who grow up without 2 parents to educate them and discipline them; instead having their wack ass childhood friends teaching them how to act in public. I've seen kids challenge adults and fight other kids. The fact that she would act so indignant and uncouth is very disconcerting. Maybe she was a gang member. Eh....you should have let your daughter wupp that ass. nod Teenagers want to act like adults then they need to suffer adult consequences for bad behavior.

Look, you're welcome to your opinion and all, but can you refrain from insulting others with your insinuations? Plenty of kids grow up without 2 parents. Fighting with people is not indicative of how many parents a person has. How can you hope to be taken seriously when you, a young person yourself, can't even start out a post without talking shit? Seriously, get yourself together. You should be more intelligent than this.

I agree that fighting with people isn't really an indicative of how many parents one person has but Desiree is not completely wrong... I mean the kid did act like a barbaric little bitch. I don't think her whole point was based upon having two normal, educating parents or not.

just a note...this kid is from one of the "well to do, very connected" families in town and has both parents and both sets of grandparents in her life, she is also a cheerleader so she doesn't fit THAT stereotype, just the "I am entitled, and I have no home training" one Actually her life has been quite chaotic since this incident. She was approached by about 20 kids on different occasions, asking her why she was cursing at their mama biggrin so she has been dealt with, no ass whippin, but dealt with.

And young teenagers disrespecting their elders. That was a no-no when I was coming up.

sorry to hear about this but it happens far to often these days... what's even worse is that this may not be over...

She should've done how we do in the Bay Area....

wait til' the movie is over and stand outside the exit.......then BEAT THAT ASS! lol

And that's not even a joke. lol I only go to see certain movies at very specific theaters because I KNOW some of them are going to full of teenagers talking, yelling, swearing and answering phone calls through the entire movie. My dumb as will stand up and get in some shit and then have to watch for those outside the door lurkers. lol I'm too old for that drama, so I just avoid getting put in that situation if it's at all possible (and it usually is with a little planning).

However, one of my best movie going experiences ever was seeing Scream 2 at Jack London Cinema on opening night. The audience was about 50/50 black/white and when the black couple (Jada and, err... I forget) was killed in the opening of the movie about half of the theater went over the top crazy. Standing up, screaming, talkin' a mess to the screen. lol A good portion of the other half just looked scared and sat very still. Laughed my ass off, I did. lol

Sorry to hear that butterfli25. It sounds like it probably ended up going about as smoothly as it could. I'm pretty sure I would have talked her in circles, makin' her look a fool until she either shut up or hit me, which would have been fun. lol It's good to know your kid has your back, though. wink

Seriously. Maybe she has two shitty parents. Or an entire shitty family. More likely it's a product of her overall environment. But I certainly wouldn't single out a single parent household as the reason, or even a MAIN reason.
