I've never used it, how does it work?

Does it require a camera? Because I don't have one.

Sorry to hear (read) you're dealing with so much pain, Erin (now and recently in general). Hopefully it's taken care of soon.

I can't be a on the night crew for a while. One of my cats broke part of it's hip, has had surgery, is living in a 3x4 foot steel cage (crate) and requires near constant attention. That will continue for at least another week when he goes back to the vet to have sutures removed and get a check up. Then I can hopefully have a life again. Right now I'm sleeping even less than normal (just a couple hours a night and usually collapsing for a couple hours when the cat gets his day time pain medication) because the bastard WILL NOT wear the damn cone, so I have to be ever vigilant in thwarting his attempts to lick and chew on his sutures.

Since I won't be around much, the long story short (as I can make it) is this; he normally (or used to) plays vertically. I mean he jumps HIGH! Four and five feet straight up to try and grab his toys. So instead of going straight up one day a little over a week ago he went up AND forward, his back legs flipped over his head, he lost sight of where he was going and his hip landed with all his flying weight on the sharp edge of a heavy table. He stopped playing - duh! But didn't seem too bad. A little gimpy the next day, but in three or four days he was good. No limp at all - wanting to play again. Then, I'm pretty sure, he was BADLY re-injured while playing with his brother, who weighs a good eight pounds (at least) more than him. Dude couldn't even walk - he was a tri-pod. He would just fall over and drag himself across the floor on his side with his front feet (sad, yes, but kinda funny to watch sad lol ).

Anyway, evidently cats have a horizontally positioned bone that connects their hind legs to their pelvis - x-rays showed his was snapped clean in half. You could actually hear the two pieces bounce and grind on each other (blech!). So, last Friday he went in for surgery. They shaved, like, his entire leg and part of his body (poor guy - he knows he looks messed up lol ), made a three in incision and just complely removed the entire bone. Evidently this is not uncommon for cats and they get along just fine without them. I guess the muscle and tendens in the area are very strong (makes sense) and they will create a false joint that slowly replaces the bone over the next few months. But for now, he's got to be MOSTLY immobile and he's got to be stopped from ripping the stiches out of the giant incision in his leg.

I tried the cone but he is NOT having it. He started running BACKWARDS and slamming his body all around the crate. Not really what he's supposed to be doing now. Thankfully he actually seemed much better today and was already walking around with less of a limp that when he had the broken bone in there. UNfortunately he's got no less than another week of crate life. Sooo, I'm on night crew vacation. I've got friends over right now hanging out so I could have a break and take a shower.

And it looks like they're leaving, probably because I'm on here. lol Later...

I trust all is well with the night crew. Besides Cerebus's CAT, JustErin's medical issue, and Fauxreeal's lack of Porn.

I just suggest you all watch the Argentina dancing with the stars thread. wink

I seriously was trying to get it to work. I think it might be that I forgot to set my phone to connect through my network, so it wasn't picking it up. But I changed that and its good to go
