I think Floyd is a little faster, at least when it comes to evading punches. Manny is the much stronger of the two IMO and can take a punch better. If he tried to get into a technical boxing match with Floyd, I think Floyd would win on points. If he makes it a slugfest and keeps coming at him...I give it to Manny.

We had ringside seats to this fight! I had been a little sick with a cold and wasn't sure I was going to attend. But I forced myself to go because I figure Manny is a legend. Now I'm REALLY sick!

Apparently, Margarito has a broken socket in his right eye and is still in Dallas. He's going to have surgery... there..

We saw Manny's mom faint! Manny's entourage was going batshit crazy during the fights. This is the second time I've attend one of his matches, and they always go batshit crazy.

Plus we saw some celebrities: Mario Lopez and Jerry Jones.. I heard rumors Wayne Newton was in the house, but we didn't see him... We didn't get any pics. We just saw them in passing.

Manny wanted a TKO. The were doctors there evaluating Margarito during the fight. The ref made sure he could see, but I think they should have called it a TKO...

I dunno... Now that Margarito's eye-socket is broken... I wonder if they should have just been safe than sorry? It's a tough call, but somebody has to make it, and there was NO WAY Margarito was gonna win on points and extremely doubtful he'd get a lucky punch to knock-out Manny.

That's why I'm not a boxing fan so much. I don't know why the hell they didn't call it except they wanted it to go the distance because so much money was on the line.

I was closer to Margarito's camp. His wife looked scared the whole time. The doctors are waiting for the swelling to go down before they can perform surgery, maybe tomorrow.

Yeah I heard. As a trainer though, you are supposed to protect your fighter. He needed to step in regardless of what Margarito said. Margarito is going to remember(and feel) that beating for a while.

It reminded me of when Klitschko's eyelid was split open and he started cussing his corner out when they wanted to stop the fight. IIRC the ref had to stop that one.

One more thing..

At the start of the fight, I told my husband...Margarito looked "flat." I'm talking about when he just walked into the ring.. I could see his eyes, and he looked tired.

Then I read today... he had trouble making weight.. in other words he had to lose weight quickly or something? Manny's camp accused him of taking diet pills before the fight or something like that?

I just don't think Margarito had enough left for the fight. I think it was just too difficult to get down to weight..

I called it even before the first round. I just knew he didn't look quite right.

That's not to say Manny wasn't beastly because he was.. a monster in the ring--for such a little guy who looks like a gymnast! LOL He would have won anyway, I think. I just think it may have been closer..

Well... I was yelling for the ref to stop the fight! LOL

It's just too weird...I could tell Margarito was tired right when he was going to his corner before the fight even began. You could look in his eyes and tell he just didn't have enough. So I guess he did OK for somebody who didn't have any energy... He's damn lucky he wasn't hurt any worse.

I'm not like this boxing expert or anything. I didn't know all this stuff was going on about Margarito's weight. But...yeah.. It makes sense now.

Oh... and I read he told his camp NOT to stop the fight. I think the doctor and ref should have stopped the fight when it was clear his camp was gonna let Manny continue to beat the shit out of him.

Somebody should have stop it, I think, because there was no way Margarito had a chance in hell of winning...

Yeah half dude's face was hanging off. That might be an exaggeration, but it was nasty. You can see it here at 6:55 when the fight gets stopped.
