It is kind of unreal, but she is an editor (I believe a magazine editor)- With all her work in copy, gave her some good instincts.

Well, she was stupid as fuck for solving it right off the bat! I mean even if she'd spun a 'lose turn' or whatever, she'd probably get at least one more chance, why not wait until there's some money in the pot from the puzzle? hammer

She won a trip by solving it.

Would she still have won the trip if she would have put up a letter and spun again? Maybe the fact that she didn't build up the pot first indicates that it was a lucky guess?

Oh, see I didn't really pay attention to what was happening prize-wise. I just thought 'well, shit if I knew the answer, I'd put some more cash in the kitty first!'. lol

I think it's possible. I looked at it and it took me 10 seconds. The apostrophe does give it away.

Not that I expect anyone to believe me. shrug

If she would have spun again, Pat would have pressed the "Bankrupt" or "Lose A Turn" button under the podium. It's best to solve the puzzle as soon as you know. nod

I don't think it's that hard to do. She had the apostrophe and L. Once you come up with a phrase, you can check the number of letters with each word match up.

I buy it. She has been on a few shows, she seems to know about how words are formed. I do not think there is any way they would risk cheating.

Somtimes they just pop into your head, and some people have more of a gift in that regard. My aunt was one of those people. She was ridiculously good at Wheel of Fortune. We tried to get her to go on the show for many years but she wouldn't do it. She was convinced it would be different if you were standing there playing the game, rather than watching on TV.
