Not when I make it, it won't be!

It will look like the traditional English Christmas puddings without the dried fruit.

I have had some here that looked like this and only had nuts in them.

Yum!

Okay, well...you won't like mine, then. lol

I certainly would try it if you made it, that's for sure. I just have texture issues.

Annoying but I will usually try something before I decide I do not like it. I have had other ppls homemade fruit cake, bleck!

I must say that I can tolerate English Christmas puddings more than I can an old square door stop looking fruit cake from the US.

Well, see...the pudding is different because you serve it hot. It's cooked in a bain marie (water bath) initially, then again before it's served. And it's very moist - no doorstop quality to it, at all.

And of course, the other thing that distinguishes it from a doorstop is the fact that you splash it with more booze and set it on fire as you serve it. lol

Pannettone. That's the ot...his stuff.

Gonna buy the rest of the stuff I need to make Coquito this weekend. nod Out of curiosity, could I make it without alcohol? And if so, should I add some more liquid? Another can of evaporated milk? Some fresh milk? I'm going to make it with alcohol, but there will be a lot of kids around and it seems like something they might like, too.
