It is so frustrating. My mom sent me a piece of her artwork and wrote the value of it on the form.

I almost passed out then they told me how much I had to pay when they held it at the post office. Someone is making some serious money.

i know, it's insane the amount of tax they charge on a gift a family member is mailing you! years ago i mailed a friend in brazil a package and i listed everything with a value on the form, and they held his package hostage for $500. that's when i started putting value $0.

I received my gifts yesterday and opened them late at night, while feeling near-death from flu and in the middle of our move. I'm so lovin my gifts!!!

You know what? I shouldn't even admit this shit. After I went back and double checked my notes, there it was! It was there all the time, and my blind ass...

I better run out of the house first thing Monday to get it out. Hopefully it's not crazy expensive to mail, we will see.

Chris and I are sending our SS gifts in the next couple of days.

The JerseyMistress household finances didn't allow us to ship before Ren's December 8th deadline, but we promise they'll arrive before Christmas!

I hope our recipients will be happy with their gifts! We had fun shopping for them.

I especially want to see one of my gifts photowhored.
