If my gift comes a day or 2 before I might be able to wait. Any longer than that and i'll have to open it. I'm useless at being patient.

My idea is that we just let this thread evolve into a photowhore thread but you have to keep who sent you the gift a secret until the end. Does that sound good?

That way people could also be posting hey, my gift has not arrived on December 20th and that gives their secret santa the heads up to track that gift. One thread is easier to keep track of then 2. shrug

Made my donation to a worthy cause! I want to thank whoever my secret santa giftee requestor is. What an unselfish act! I'll be doing the same next year smile Spreading the love love With the help of my secret santa person, we have helped unfortunate people by giving $385 worth of medicines. Doesn't sound like much but every little bit helps! Also if a whole army of people does it, imagine how many more people we can help! wink Thanks Secret Santa and Thanks RenHoek for helping out! smile biggrin cool cool cool cool

I just love the fun of getting the right gifts! woot!

And I got lucky because the orger I got was very specific. So, I'm confident that person will like the presents I got.......Well.....at least I hope so.....It's just fun to think about how happy the receiver will be with the gifts.

My neighbour xmas is helping me out with arranging stuff for this person (in terurn he actually asked me not to mention the word "Prince" in 2011)

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

I'm probably breaking all the Secret Santa rules by asking this, but here goes...

A hypothetical question: If you were a Prince fan and your Secret Santa was going to the Welcome 2 America concert on the 17th, would you want to get something from the concert, even if it meant your gift would be coming later than everyone else's (and might not get there until right before or even after Christmas)? Or would you rather have a regular, non-Prince gift that arrives on time?

I'm torn, because I am not even sure if there would be anything for sale at the W2A concert that my giftee would want. But I'm assuming there would be a tour book and/or maybe some other memorabilia. I'm not even going to bother with T-shirts or clothing, because I don't know size and the T-shirts are already on sale online, so if they want one, they can easily get one.

So if it were you...what would you want your SS to do?

i think it's sweet that you are thinking to give a prince related gift from the W2A concert, i would think your secret santa person would be happy. biggrin but that's just me.

Some folk have already received their gifts, but for those who haven't, don't dispair. I am waiting on delivery of a few more items for my giftee (ordered on line), but I am positive I will have them delivered BEFORE Chirstmas day. My giftee lives in the US, so I know there will be no problem with speedy delivery.
