Parents How old will you be when your youngest turns 20 ?

When my youngest turns 20, I will be 39. I feel pretty good about that. Not that I'm promoting jumping into parenthood too early or anything (early being completely dependent upon the individual), but I do like the idea that I will probably be a younger grandparent should my daughter have children; and that assumes she has them at the average age which I imagine is somewhere in the mid to late 20's.

When my son turns 20, I will be 47.
I'm happy about that, but it's scary as hell imagining him all grown up

I'll be 48: Not so old that I can't have enjoyed a physically active life through her youth; not so young that I won't have outgrown much of my own youthful naivete at a disservice to her.
I want to adopt one more daughter, though, so I think I better get around to that soon if this would be of much benefit to her.
...All God willing, of course. And this isn't to say those who've had kids at a different age will necessarily falter one way or the other.

When my youngest turned 20 I was 42... We started our family fairly young and we are very happy about that because we are still pretty young. I didnt start running half marathons until I turned 40 so I feel pretty good about myself and where I am at in this phase of my life.. I made my mom a grandma at 39! ~~~~~ Oh that voice...incredible....there should be a musical instrument called George Michael... ~~~~~ | |
