I was turtle-sitting a really sweet red eared slider once. She would be in her tank on my desk and keep me company while I worked. It was really peaceful and nice to see her slowly swim around. And if I'd hold a piece of banana over the her tank, she'd practically come flying out of and grab the banana in mid air. OM NOM NOM! lol

I like red eared sliders. I like how they grip your hands with their little claws when you hold them.

It's what you make it.

Yeah exactly! And it was too cute when she was furiously trying to swim through the air when I held her to wash her shell, and then when I got to her belly she'd suddenly relax totally and close her eyes. "Belly rubbbbb aaaaaaaaahhhhh!" lol

That video was the first thing I thought of when reading the thread title.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

That's a big turtle! What kind of turtle was it?

Hawksbill

I got to snorkle with one while he ate. He let us observe him for about 10 mins, it was awesome!

lol The male turtle sounded like he had Elmo's voice. The female turtle looked like she was thinking, "Let's just get this over with, already!" lol
