Haven't had a Mickey's in well over 20 years, but I seem to remember it wasn't as bad as some of the others. Still had a bit of a nasty aftertaste though.

Is it true that Billy Dee Williams used to be the face of Old English 800? My uncle told me that but I don't believe it because it's always been known as Hood Beer.

Mickey's has got to be the Cadillac of malt liquors. Tastes pretty okay and is fun to drink. And it's cheap as hell. That's a win-win-win in my book.

I did a thread about Malt Liqour two years ago and this stuff just looks venal. Malt Liquor is banned here, the best we can do is a cheap beer called "Ranfurly Draught" and "Bighorn" they cost $11.95 NZD ($9.50USD) for a box of 12 440ml cans (Don't what that is in ounces about 14 or 15), and its proper hopped beer, but just cheap and potent (No standard beer here can be over 5.5% or its taxed at a rate uneconomic for ghetto beer makers). These beers are the choices of bums, deros and polynesian gangs every where and they are great to drink if you want to get beaten up.

They should ban Malt liquors in areas where all people do is drink them to get drunk.

The cheapest and nastiest drink ever here was some carbonated wine (Well actually lolly water with wood alcohol added to it). Was a wine called Marque Vue, which was a cheap white wine made from very sweet Muscat grapes between 1967 and 2001. (This is like your champale, the stuff Velvet Jones spent $1.75 on for his hoe). It came in a nice bottle with a Renaissance style lettering and the words "Marque Vue Grande Premiere" on a foil label and to make it even more fake ass looking a coat of arms with the French Royal Fleur De Lis was also on the bottle, so it made it look like rare and expensive french champagne drunk by royalty, when really the only queens that drank it were drag queens. It was badly made wine with fake bubbles that went flat after 5 minutes and there was so much sugar added to it, that it tasted like ice cream soda. It came in pink as well and this stuff was still only $5 a bottle when they stopped making it 2001. I think it may have been French champagne makers suing them for making a copycat bottle and in the 80s there were stories of people serving Marque Vue in Moet bottles at expensive restaurants, the joke was "A bottle of your finest Marque et Vue please", at some dodgier places, sometimes Grapetise was substituted.

Marque Vue was also popular with underage drinkers and many 14 and 15 years growing up in New Zealand between the late 60s and late 90s (Myself included) remember drinking Marque Vue as it was the cheapest wine in the shop, even though it was only 9% alcohol, it still gave you a headache really fast.
