Pierced, one hole in each lobe. Type of earrings varies, but they are standard wires or posts - none of that stretching nonsense.

Pierced, since I was about 5. I have one in each ear and I wear ear rings every single day. Wouldn't dream of going without a pair.

I have a single piercing in my left ear. I pierced it myself in college. Then I repierced it a couple times after that through the years, after the hole had closed up. It's long since closed up again, but I'm always just one drunken night away from piercing it one more time.

Mine are re-virginized.

I used to wear 3 in each ear back in the day (hoops mostly) but gave them up sometime in my early 30s. No reason in particular, just kinda decided to take them all out one day.

I could never turn that down, even though I do prefer the more manly way of tossing back a few and just jabbing an earring through the lobe myself. But I'll sacrifice my manliness for a drunken trip to the mall any day.

Do the home piercing kits work for Prince Alberts too? (I'm just curious.)

I got my ears pierced at a department store when I was 13. (This was in the early days of free range piercing - my mom actually got hers done at the doctor's office.) They used these earrings that had a point on the end of the posts - they just punched them through.

Unbeknownst to me, they put a piece of cork behind the piercee's earlobe to they wouldn't stab her in the neck - or themselves in the fingers. When that earring hit the cork, it made a terrible squeaking sound. I thought they had done something awful to my ear!

The first time.... was with a needle and then push the earring through

My left ear is pierced a single time, but I've not worn a ring in it for about 20 years (has just never been my adult style.) I'm unpierced everywhere else.

I got mine done within the last 6 years one day I was at Westfield and got my hair cut (all three kids in tow, baby, toddler and preschooler) and then thought I would get ears done too, on impulse. If I hadn't done it then, I probably STILL wouldn't have got around to it!

I like to wear all sorts of earrings, dangly, hoops, etc. LOVE earrings!

My client, who is a very beautiful woman of nearly 50, told me last week she hasn't had hers done so rare to see!

Mind you, my mum got hers done at around that age, so it's never too late!

i got 9 in each ear. got the first set at 17. my lobes are stretched to one inch. i got teal see thru squishy silicone eyelets

But I trim them constantly. I cannot STAND hairy ears. They are simply unacceptable.

The weirdest thing is, I never ever had a hair growing out of my ear until the exact day I hit 40.

Then, BOOM! Hairs were sprouting up all over.

At least my nose is relatively hairless. Except for one hair that will grow right in the center of my nose. And for some reason, I almost never see it until it's about 1/2 inch long.

I know this is gross but I've been wanting to get this off my chest for a long time. Which reminds me, my chest is very hairy, and the dang hair is now mostly gray. Bummer.

I'm afraid to look at the hair on my back.

I'll be glad when Magnum, PI-type hairy chests are vogue again.

And in related hair news, I'm growing a beard! Four days into it. Two weeks is the longest I've ever gone without shaving but this time, I'm going all the way to the end of the year, at the very least.

I wear all sorts of earings ... most are custom made / handmade

I usually wear 1-2 real gems depending on what I need to attain from each stone at the time

I have 3 in my right ear and 2 in my left.

The 3rd in the right went thru the cartilage and hurt so bad I wouldn't let her do the other side.

I wear sterling baby hoops in them.

It's kind of a pain to have to buy 3 pairs at one time, but I don't wear big earrings anymore. In the 80s, they were huge!

Yup, 2 in each ear.

First pair was done when I was a baby at a doctor's office I believe, second at Claire's in the mall right before I turned 12. I wear studs daily and rarely switch it up with dangly earrings. My mother is always wearing some sort of funky earrings and I kind of want to pick up on that too.

Considering getting an upper cartilage piercing on one side.

I really hate how popular gauging has become. Tiny stretching is okay, but I don't see it as attractive or flattering whatsoever. I heard the holes smell horrible too.

I'm thinking and finally decided to get my ears pierced. my right ear is going to be pierced

im going to pierce what is called known as my auricle and perhaps my lobe..
