^^ I hate Guinness. Absolutely detest it. And I LOVE strong, dark beers. Guinness has never been appealing to me. Something off about it. Too creamy, I think. |

That may be the problem.

I kinda liked Champale, haven't had any in well over 25 years though. Remember Malt Duck?
Then in the wine catagory: Wild Irish Rose? Night Train? LOL. You were guaranteed to throw-up by the end of the night on that shit, lol. Along with Thunderbird (Thunderbird & Grapefruit Juice - Shake It Up, lol), and the Mad Dog 20/20, lol.
Goes without saying: Absolutely hated Old-E. That shit is like drinking oil, lol. "There's Nothing That The Proper Attitude Won't Render Funkable!"

That brings back memories! I was born not too far from where Champale had a brewery on the banks of the Delaware River in Trenton, NJ. That brewery has been long gone, but do they even still make the stuff?
Back in my college days, the drinks of choice were Boones Farm, Ripple, Cherry Kiafa and grain alcohol mixed in punch. The first time I ever got wasted was on that damn punch! I was just a young, green freshman and thought I was drinking regular, alcohol-free punch. I had downed 3 cups of that shit, and the next thing I knew I was being escorted from the club by my two dorm mates! |

I'd take Guiness over Bud any day of the week....but its still mass produced and characterless, just very cleverly marketed, tapping into to the popular Irish drinking mythology... |

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER underestimate the power of GRAIN ALCOHOL, lol. That's why they won't even sell EVERCLEAR in much of the United States these days (...I stocked-up before the ban went into effect, lol).
