Out of all the scary movies out there which is your favorite and why?

I saw "The Ring" (America's version), and liked it a lot...but I heard the original was 10 times better, so I've been tryin' to download it and watch it...I've downloaded it, but can't get it to play (dad gummit)..

By the way, have you seen "Funny Games"??...

When I was little I use to love watching Night Of The Living Dead, it use to scare the hell out of me.

I have a few different edits of that movie... there are MANY edits out there with even MORE gore if you can believe that! :LOL:

Yeah, people dont realise that Jackson did several low budget horror/slasher movies in his early days. He also did a film called "Body Melt". The title says it all!

The scariest movie I saw as a kid was definately Psycho, when I was about 10 years old.

The other one to have a major effect on me when I was a teenager was when I saw The Exorcist. That scared the shit out of me!

He is genuinely passionate about the project, I wouldn't say he's sold out. It is certainly very mainstream though.

Did you see his films "Heavenly Creatures" and "The Frighteners"? I liked both of those too.

Serial murder is one of my favorite movie topics, especially when they are dead and still killing people...

Any Disney film freaks me out.

How times have changed over the span of 20 years.

FREDDY CRUGER:

This movie was a genre bustin classic, brakin all censored classifications. The first 1 scared the most conservative. The scene where the guys on the bed and his bed swallows him and his TV resting on the bed, then blood explodeds out of the bed.

But after a while, the Freddys got repeatitive and it became amusin. They were 2 many, with generally the same plot.

But i have 2 say the 1st 1 was the most infulencial and unique horror of all-time.

Phantasm and The Changeling is probably the best horror/scariest movies I've seen.
