Enough of the Chopped, Top Chef, Next Iron Chef...you're all cooking the same damn food in the same damn kitchen!
Whaaaa? Totally not. Totally different shows, too. Although I'm more of an Iron Chef fan, not so much the Next part.
Survivor, that's true. Fans of the show have even been saying they need to use other locations. But when they went to Africa there was Lions... I think that freaked people out a bit.

While we're on the topic of reality shows: Am I the only person around here who does NOT like "America's Top Model"? I know a lot of threads get started about that show around here, and that it gets A LOT of love. But I personally cannot stand anything about that show, and the models with their diva attitudes turns me right off. I can't even watch that TV show because I dislike it that much. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. |

I don't like ANTM. I will occasionally watch the "makeover" episodes but otherwise it's trash. Tyra has some nerve telling these Wal-Mart and Target check stand girls that they can become supermodels. It's downright cruel to mislead them that way. And half those chicks aren't even tall. Some of them don't have the sense god gives mules. The baby mommas really get to me. You drop out of school, have a kid, work at the local fish fry and now you think you gonna be Giselle Bundchen?? GTFO! It's sad that when the show is over....most of them go back to the same boring life they had before the show started. |

Oh man! I totally missed this post until now. I've been saying that for years! Put them in a the snow or a cold, wet, Northern climate. Unfortunately, you wouldn't have nearly naked people running around and that's obviously part of the appeal. Plus, hypothermia and frostbite ain't no joke! Much more likely there'd be people getting seriously injured in a cold environment. |

You're not alone there, either. I don't watch 9/10 of all reality shows and I never have. I like the shows with physical competition and pretty much all of them that have something to do with cooking. Any of the shows that focus on fake ass people doing fake ass people nonsense - no interest. |

That's not necessarily so. Alot of them are like most fashion models, 90% of whose names the general public never know, but they are in fact working. They'll be doing clothing catalog work from countries like Germany or Spain or Croatia, which will never be seen in America. But it's a good living, and they make anywhere from $1500 to $3000 per day doing it, usually being booked for 2 days to a week. Do many of them go on to fame in the general public eye? Nope. But they usually are picked up by an agency and go straight to doing what I call the "workhorse" jobs in the industry and are known just among clients, photographers, etc. |
