Facial fillers Have any of you ever used them? Restalyne...Juvederm...etc. They are for filling in lines or hollow spaces in your face, making your cheeks look bigger, etc. I'm only 29 but it's like my face is collapsing. I've always been thin to underweight my entire life and so I've always had a gaunt face, but now my face just looks so much older than other 29 year olds I see. Under my eyes is all sunken in and under my cheekbones is too. I think I look 40. I look okay depending on the lighting, but I also have a lot of acne scars that cause shadows on my face too so it's just a disaster. I've seen crackheads with better skin than me and it's really not fair!!
Have any of you had any work done?? Did you get the result that you wanted? I don't want to look like a different person, just me as I was before. "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

No, I haven't. But I'm thinking pretty seriously about getting a little Juvederm. I just have a couple spots I'd like to touch up. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I doubt you look as bad as you say, MidniteMagnet.
I know nothing about this stuff, so tell me: These fillers, do they offer a one-time permanent result or do they require regularly repeated treatments? Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Juvederm supposedly lasts up to a year. It's a natural product that is gradually absorbed by the body, so the affect gradually wears off. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Awww, thanks! If I get the courage I'll post some pictures...
I think they last about a year or so. They are biodegradable so your body absorbs them over time.
I know Michael Jackson had some injections into his nose soon before he died because he was trying to fill in the weird indents on his nose. His surgeon mentioned it in an interview.
Lots of celebrities have it done. I think Madonna may have had it on her cheeks but I think she went way overboard... "Keep in mind that I'm an artist...and I'm sensitive about my shit."--E. Badu

Can't help thinking of that motor oil that Lisa marie Presley injected into her face. That shit is irreversible too. Poor chile.

I dunno much about facial treatments, but in the meantime, id suggest plenty of exercise and drink loads of water on a daily basis. That will help i'm sure

Yeah...that can help 'til you're about 40 - provided you do everything else right (no smoking or tanning, moderate alcohol use, minimal processed foods with good fats only).
After that...well...let's just say gravity's a bitch. And when your hormones start to go... We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
