my book - Fear Not The Dark - free download here

TRICK OR TREAT!!!!

hi fellow ORGers. here is a book i wrote. you can download it for free.

http://fearnotthedark.com/

Synopsis

When Marley McCormick agrees to interview best-selling motivational speaker Delroy P. (“The Dark”) Dark she takes on a whole lot more than just another job assignment. Little does Marley suspect that her VIP pass to The Dark’s self-help seminar is a ticket into another world.

Over the course of the three-day seminar Marley uncovers surprising details about the unsolved matter of her Uncle Max Sherman’s recent demise and who might have wanted to stop him, and why. And the more Marley finds out about The Dark the more questions she has about the unsettling deaths of his fans.

Can Marley stop The Dark from raising an army of undead warriors?

Can she save The Dark’s fans before he takes them over, one zombie at a time?

Done! Thanks! I love to read.

Have you consider putting it on Amazon for Kindle? People are always snatching up the free books.

Cool, just downloaded it.

By giving it away are you hoping someone will like it and pay you to write another, or was it just for fun? Just curious.

thank you for your interest. hope you don't hate it. it was just for fun

i tossed in a lot of roles (the coolest roles) for people with black skin. because of the ORG and our discussions about the lack of these roles.....

there are links for donations to the humane society.

No! lol

First of all, I like to write, but I have never tried anything that long. I think it's impressive not only that you finished it, but that you can maintain cohesiveness throughout.

It's a fun book. It's silly, but it's entertaining. Your characters have character, and there are little creative touches to the story, little asides, that make it a more interesting read. Even when the story goes to the wild side, taking nutty, nutty turns, it does not fall apart. There is a style that holds it together even though the story gets tense.

There are a couple things that you could edit to make it just a bit more perfect, IMO.

I am not suggesting changing the story or re-arranging sections, but there are some simple grammatical & consistency issues that I noticed (some of which may be personal taste) that I could share if you'd like.

But I think you have the ability to write books for real. I know you are presenting this as "I hope you don't barf" (and one flaw of the book might be that it has that same tone at times--it doesn't take itself very seriously) but plenty of "writers" never finish books at all.

This book is actually entertaining. My GF works for a non-profit publisher, and I have read books not nearly as entertaining that have been published (though the authors certainly did not get rich)

Unfortunately I don't have the time to read a book at the moment but good on you for completing it! Like NDRU said most so-called professional writers talk all their lives about writing a whole novel but never actually do it.

It looks like you have a professional-looking cover designed for it and you obviously have a whole website dedicated to it, so why not sell proper hardcover (or paperback for that matter) versions as well? Those who enjoy the free online version might want to give away an actual physical book as a gift to their friends (perhaps you could include a short story or something as an incentive for those who pay). There are plenty of cheap printing services these days that are prepared to do very limitied editions.

Again, congratulations!
