I grew up in Austin so I can attest to the high level of fitness and active singles there because of the University and tech industry. But honestly, Texas routinely has the fattest cities in the country, many of the same ones listed in this survey as being in shape. So which is true???

Again, I question this survey because Dallas, where I live, is often quoted as having one of the highest rates of new STD infections, particularly HIV. So, I dunno bout the accuracy of this survey. But I ain't complaining.

Is there some sort of scenery or reason for tourism?

I heard there is a high STD rate in a city about an hour away from where I live, where a lot of people go on vacation. I assume rest and "relaxation" follows.

Yeah, Austin is one of the prettiest, greenest cities in the Southwest and has several major events that draw lots of people each year. It's also the Live Music Capital of the World.
