Ok...Blackout Drunk questions....

Ok..I understand some people can get blackout drunk...I have never had the experience; however this weekend I think that I have seen enough to know I didnt want to go there...

When somebody gets completely drunk does that mean whatever they are saying at the time is a possible truth about them?? Even IF they do not remember the next day? If they say something weird or out of sync with their relatonship is that just a secret they been trying to hide for a while?

#1: A friend of mine came to a party last week with his husband..got blackout drunk and started crying about how much he been trying to be a good husband and that he can't take it anymore.

#2: A straight friend of ours got really gay; and forced my head down to ...do things to him while my partner and his friend walked out of the car...he proceeded to say, "how much would you pay me to smd..." as he revealed himelf...thus my partner and his friend walked in the car and saw what he was doing and he stopped falloff

I mean it was all in good fun..but the next day BOTH OF THEM say they got blacked out and do not remember anything from those nights...but..as a person that never has had that happen...WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!? Do blackouts really make you actually say and do things you actually tried to hide?!?!

I thought black out drunk means you go in and out of consciousness.

But yes, I do believe that being intoxicated brings out thoughts that are otherwise neatly tucked away.

No, that's passing out.

In a black out, you're walking and talking, but you have no recollection afterward.

I see, yes of course...that makes sense.

True, it often allows genuine feelings to shine through and it certainly seems to be the case in the situations described above. There are some people who just get warped when they get drunk though, for example the mean drunks who start cussing random people out even though they don't have anything against them. It must be hard for those people to explain away their behaviour the next day because I think most people assume that booze always brings out the truth.

first one = revealing

second one sounds like messing about drunk unless he actually got his pecker outthen it be either

your inhibitions certainly go and truths come out or you arent as subtle as you think thats for sure.

Never been black out drunk and i dont buy the " i dont remember what happened" unless you actually pass out

I have been blackout drunk maybe three times in my life and to be honest it scares me a little. Just to know that I am not conscious yet still appear fully functional to the world freaks me out. During my black outs, apparently, I didn't change too much. I was still calm and relaxed. No deep dark secrets came out.

Yes, it really happens. Yes, sometimes people do embarrasing, even terrible things in that state and don't remember a damn thing the next day. However, sometimes it's definitely used as an excuse to cover for the stupid shit people do while wasted.

Let me state for the record that, while I have had a blackout, I have never faked having had a blackout (or used it as an excuse for anything). I think admitting even the possibility that you were that wasted is hugely embarrassing.

In that state you might say things you've been hiding or you might just speak complete nonsense. You'll need to judge the situation yourself.

The last time I was really drunk with one of my best friends I started ranting to him about how he should not let his girlfriend speak him into taking a big loan together. It had bothered me for quite a while and I felt like I had to say something. Yet, a little bit later on I was making all these philosophical remarks about old Apogee platform games like Commander Keen.

I've only been drunk like that one time. I went out with a friend of mine who was drinking some brown liquor called Christian Brothers. I'm more of a clear liquor drinker myself so I had already been drinking Seagram's Gin and Bud Light all night long already before I drank some of his. I had a glass or two of Frexinet Champaigne also.

When he took me home, I didn't feel like going to bed yet. I was in the mood mix some music. I remember starting the mix and all I remember after that was waking up on the floor in front of the stereo the next morning with my glass on the floor and a cigarette butt underneath my leg. I listened to the mix I had recorded earlier and it didn't flow at all. I didn't think anything about it until I went to take a shower later that afternoon. When I got undressed, I saw a huge blister on my leg. Apparently, I had slept on top of my lit cigarette all night long until the damn thing burned out on it's own. I still have a scar on my leg where that burn was.

Oh no, I've never been drunk like that. When I reach a certain point, I fall asleep. lol

Found a guy passed out in the grass last night.

Didn't know what happened to him so I contacted the authorities just in case but by the time they showed up my friends had poured water on his head and he woke up angry and stormed off.

I agree alcohol can bring out the truth, but it can also turn a decent person into a monster.

In such cases (usually closer to the blackout stage than the lightly buzzed stage) I don't think they are "showing their true colors" because without the alcohol they might go their entire lives without doing such things.

If someone is a little buzzed, I might believe they are only "showing their true colors," but having seen serious drunks, I don't believe they are in their normal state of mind.

Yup. The one time it happened to me, once I had a non-blacked out moment, I sat my ass in a corner inconspicuously and let the liquor run it's course rather than make a fool of myself and those I was with.

Apparently I danced with 3 chicks from what I am told. I don't dance. Ever. I'd cut off a fucking finger first.

I've had it happen to me a few times.

I've always been absolutely mortified that I might have said or done something exceedingly stupid, but apart from falling backwards over an ottoman that was mysteriously in the middle of a dance floor confuse nobody ever reported back to me that I did anything unusual or out of character.

They all say I am really funny when I am drunk mad

I hate being drunk, so I try to just remain a bit buzzed.

A drunk man speaks a sober mind.

However, alcohol intensifies mood and thought so if you had a passing thought while intoxicated, you might seem to feel really passionate about the subject when in reality the feeling is really only mild. shrug And that probably explains why we wake up with uggos sometimes.

Yes you're more likely to say what you really want to say while drunk, but you can also feel things you dont really feel either. I know I've told my true feelings to people while being drunk before, but I've also tolerated things I absoutely cannot while sober. So really theres no way of knowing the truth in those situations you talked about.

it's funny though, even late at night when I am completely sober and can't sleep for example, strange thoughts run through my mind, sometimes with a frightening intensity - I'll get all worked up about something, all worried, and then the next day it seem completely unimportant. Now imagine being drunk as well, recipe for disaster!!!!

I'm like that too but oddly enough when I am drunk I'm not that way at all. I just get really confident, a little wild and eager to partake in some hardcore filth.
