We've at least found out why I can't breathe - Paradoxical Vocal Cord Dysfunction. But we still don't know what's causing my vocal cords to close my throat off.

I'm still having attacks, which sucks big time, but we now have something to go on. We're considering a trip to the National Jewish Medical Center in Denver, which is the only place in the country that has a specific, multidisciplinary program that treats PVCD.

I'm happy to have some answers, but frustrated that it's another rare, poorly understood condition that's hard to treat. I'm no stranger to that as it is.

Like I said on FB, I'm happy these docs cared enough and actually did thier JOB to find out what could be the problem. I told my mother five seconds of your story and she already said it could not be asthma, and she's not even a doctor.
