Can I still eat these ribs?

Take-out from last night. Forgot and left them out (wrapped in foil) for about 14 hours.

I don't see why not.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I've left stuff overnight in the microwave or countertop and eaten it the next day. I always rationalize it by the fact the we keep the house cool. lol

Food generally doesn't go bad as quickly as most people think. A big factor in food spoilage is available water - which barbecued ribs don't have much of. And the sauce (I assume they were sauced) would be acidic, further reducing the rate of spoilage.

Personally, I think we need constant little challenges to our immune system. I'd eat 'em for that reason alone. Might save you from getting sick on something else, later. shrug

I so love that you will challenge your system with possibly spoiled food but not by sitting in your own stank in a bathtub. lol

I do agree with the mini-challenges though. We've gotten too carried away with everything being anti-bacterial and such.

You're totally fine on that. They're cooked, not raw. Eat 'em.

Actually...in this case, you'd be more likely to find staph aureus. geek

Depends on what kind of meat it is and the temperature it's been stored at. If you read up on bacteria and the speed with which they form, you probably wouldn't eat them. lol But beef (raw even) has been stored for aging at cellar temperature, where the outsides actually gather bacteria colonies, for ages.
