I saw "The Ring" (America's version), and liked it a lot...but I heard the original was 10 times better, so I've been tryin' to download it and watch it...I've downloaded it, but can't get it to play (dad gummit)..

By the way, have you seen "Funny Games"??...

Damn, WB... just drop over with a bag of chips and we will rock "Ring" and "Ring 2" on DVD. smile

"Dellamorte Dellamore" is a GREAT Italian horror film... necrophilia, zombies, gore and a priest who "kicks ass for the Lord"... how can you go wrong???

EDIT: I will make a special "Dellamorte Dellamore" thread if I can find enough pictures from the movie.

Yeah, people dont realise that Jackson did several low budget horror/slasher movies in his early days. He also did a film called "Body Melt". The title says it all! biggrin

The scariest movie I saw as a kid was definately Psycho, when I was about 10 years old.

The other one to have a major effect on me when I was a teenager was when I saw The Exorcist. That scared the shit out of me!

He also did a VERY odd puppet movie called "Meet the Feebles."

Not really a horror film, but it scared the living shit out of me as a kid, Jacques Tourneurs' The Cat People.

I suppose you could say that but I've loved the Lord of the Rings films, especially the second one.

He is genuinely passionate about the project, I wouldn't say he's sold out. It is certainly very mainstream though.

Did you see his films "Heavenly Creatures" and "The Frighteners"? I liked both of those too. biggrin

I didn't see "Heavenly Creatures" but I loved "The Frighteners" and have watched it about 20 or 30 times!

Serial murder is one of my favorite movie topics, especially when they are dead and still killing people...

FREDDY CRUGER:

This movie was a genre bustin classic, brakin all censored classifications. The first 1 scared the most conservative. The scene where the guys on the bed and his bed swallows him and his TV resting on the bed, then blood explodeds out of the bed.

But after a while, the Freddys got repeatitive and it became amusin. They were 2 many, with generally the same plot.

But i have 2 say the 1st 1 was the most infulencial and unique horror of all-time.

Phantasm and The Changeling is probably the best horror/scariest movies I've seen.
