Lets discuss Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 OK,so I still havent seen this remake.Ive been wanting to ever since it was in theatres,but now it has a DVD release date for October 5. I do plan on buying it. Ive seen a lot of bad reviews for this movie on message boards,is it really that bad of a movie? Maybe I will enjoy it,I loved the recent Friday the 13th and Halloween remakes. | |

I was a big fan of the old series, But now its pretty much dated and laughable
You might want to rent it first. I knew it wasnt going to be that good, but that did not stop me from watching it
They tell a little you a more of the back story.. Who freddy was, what he did It does have elements from the fisrt movie.. Recreated scenes like.. freedy face coming through the wall.. Being sucked into the bed, Pulled out of the dream, etc
One thing that throw me off is Freddys voice.. It just doent seem to fit the character Its not that scary (Or scary at all) Its pretty predictable..
I say rent it.. if you really like it buy it

As a fan of the old series i thought it was garbage, the storyline was blah the acting was... ok
I Mean it was so boring and unwatchable for me anyway's i wanted to leave but i already paid money so i said why not lol
They could have put some gore in if it's going to be crappy, i'm not a huge gore hound but you know what they say? if it suck's at least but some boob's or blood in lol the kill's where lame and i don't remember much blood shed.
But in the end it is your opinion=] but i hated the flick Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

I thought it sucked. I didn't mind Freddy's new look though. And though it's his trademark, the lack of cheesy one-liners would've made him a bit more frightening back in the day. At this point though, it was too little too late for me. | |

Thanks for the replys everybody. Call me dumb or whatever but Im gonna buy this dvd without renting it first because I KNOW I'll like it. Another question, has anyone seen the New Night of the Demons remake? it has a release date of October 19th. I havent even seen the original. | |
