Guess what? I'm coming down with a cold. Sick! And I was planning to drive down to Southern California on Friday to spend the weekend on the beach with two young crazy wonderful kids and their parents.

My life is weird lately. Don't quite know where its going.

Anyone else feeling odd or out of sorts?

I got a cold this spring that lasted seven...long...weeks.

It must have been some kind of international supervirus that the Vancouver olympians brought into town.

I haven't been properly sick since 2008, and that was a 3 week flu

I feel okay enough to go to work this morning. Not sure about the beach vacation tomorrow though.

Whenever I feel a cold coming on I drink crazy amounts of vitamin C and it goes away. Or at the very least the cold is extremely mild and doesn't last long. It has been years since I've had a bad cold. The cold medicine I buy always expires before I get a chance to use it.

I had a cold in July and August. The July one sucked. This one lasted all of 3 days and I'm pretty much over it.

I hardly ever have a cold anymore. Let alone in summer. As you know there has been one exception to the rule .

Awww thanks . I was feeling miserable though.

I'm feeling good at the moment. The only illness i've had recently has been all self-inflicted, so that doesn't count.

I find that lots of water, multivitamins, and staying really busy helps me when I feel something coming on

I didn't have to pay any tax

I haven't had a cold in the last five years and I live in Chicago. I come to TX for vacation and it's been 102-3 and 4 for weeks and I go to the Army base pool and gym and come down with the worst cold. I'm just getting over it. Maybe I didn't wipe the equipment down well enough.

I am still coughing, but it's on its way out.
