Actually, the worst wild animal sound I've ever heard was a rabbit screaming. I was leaving work and heard the most awful sound....I followed it to find a feral cat attacking a rabbit. I freaked the cat and it took off, so did the rabbit.

I don't want to search for a video with that sound. sad

Yup...that's what the coyotes near me were attacking. AWFUL!

Neophyte

The only thing we got in the London near me is Foxes, they are always trying to get in the bins.

oh and squirrels, I like to clock them when they are on the clothes lines, it's like watching that advert (can't remember the brand) where the squirrel is doing an assault course, while the mission impossible theme plays.

I was woken up once by some loud hissing and growling and what sounded like clawing on the pavement right outside my window. When I opened it and aimed my flashlight at the ground, I saw two raccoons humping like crazy. I was literally just a meter or so away from them but there was no way they were stopping so I had to just wait it out.

lol

I adore raccoons. mushy

The babies purr when they are well fed and happy.

Yeah, I think they're cute too but in Vancouver (where the raccoon incident happened) you'd be hard pressed to find even a handful of people who like them. The reason is that there are so many of them. If you come across a wild animal, in nine cases out of ten it's either a raccoon or a skunk. I think the raccoons and the skunks are secretly fighting each other over the supremacy of the city. When one side wins, they'll enslave the humans and make us rummage through the garbage for them. nod

Coyotes, groundhogs, grey and red squirrels, raccoons, skunks, porcupines, deer, bats, flying squirrels, even beavers - are all urban animals around these parts.

And 20 minutes outside the city you'll find black bear, moose, fishers, wolves, otters...and much more.

And yes, Retina...most urban wildlife are hated. It's a shame...

all the other animals you named i could easily imagine up there. i just didn't know coyotes went that far north.

i got well used to the sounds of coyotes when i lived in New Mexico. you don't hear those growing up in London.

One time that's what I thought I heard too. Then I realized there are no coyotes here. So I went outside to investigate. That's when I saw my neighbor was getting fucked by 6 guys in her living room and they had the window open.

But this is Erin's thread, not her neighbor's.

So it probably was a coyote.

The only time I have ever seen a wild rat was at the wildlife centre I worked at...outside eating seeds that fell from the bird feeder.

That's it.

They were cute little grey guys with white bellies.

Actually, they might even have been lab rats that someone let go close to the centre and they just bred like mad.

I've had several pet rats, they were awesome.

Lol, knowing her, she'd actually want to play with them just like this.

I might have to buy a cat, snake, and a hawk, to all protect me the day these things decide to go all Ratatouille in my kitchen.

I have bird feeders in the front and back so I hear birds daily. The strange thing is that the Sparrows start singing every morning, like clockwork, between 2:00 and 2:30. They're definitely workin' that early bird theory to the fullest.

At a couple of the jobs I've had in the City I would walk from the trans-bay bus terminal to whatever building I was heading to at o' dark thirty. More than once in my half asleep state I mistook street rats for cats and small dogs. They were not cute, or little, nor did they have white bellies. They were all grey, brown or mottled lookin' mut rats. I like rats, too, bread them when I was a kid. But these suckers were not sexy. As big or bigger than the rats in that picture.

I need some help. Can you make this flow nicer?

A clutter free space helps to keep a clutter free mind. Punches of colour on a basic background stimulate the brain without distracting from your studies.

It doesn't sound quite right.

It's the first sentence...

A clutter free space can also help keep the mind free of clutter.

A clutter free space can help keep the mind from of clutter as well.

A space free of clutter can also help keep the mind at peace.

A space free of clutter can help keep the mind at peace with it's surroundings.

....how many you want? lol Since clutter means unorganized you could also use "organized" in place of the second "clutter" in the first sentence.

Should I not keep space and mind both "clutter free"?

It needs to be 2 simple sentences but catchy enough to remember. It's for a dorm room makeover, which I have titled, "Making the Grade".

Too cliche?
