Yeah, I loved it. Joan's a trooper. Watching that movie, I was massively impressed by her and her devotion to her craft. I've always liked her, but I have a whole new appreciation for her now.

I read an interview with the filmmakers a few months ago, and I've been wanting to see it since.

I found myself incredibly moved at the part where she was yelling at the director of the Joan Rivers Roast on Comedy Central during rehearsal. When she had to scream, "Can you just trust me that I will figure this out and I will make it funny?" I felt so sympathetic to her. She's probably been making people laugh for decades before that guy was even born, and he's trying to lecture her on what will work and what won't. I was frustrated on her behalf.

I don't mean to be catty--well, maybe a little--but it's obvious in the documentary that Melissa has had some work done to her face too...but it wasn't very well done.

I gave it four out of five stars in the movie recommendation thread. I loved when Joan tested out the Michelle Obama joke with her writers.
