I agree. ROBBED!!!! I loved her in Waiting to Exhale and Strange Days. Stella was a great movie. I even sat through Vampire in Brooklyn just to see her. She's in the upcoming Green Lantern film.
I also love Lynn Whitfield and think she should have gotten more recognition for playing Josephine Baker.
Hell yeah! Angela was ROBBED!!!! Holly Hunter won that year for The Piano.
Anyhoo, Bitches! I've met, hugged and had a conversation with Lynn Whitfield! I actually got to tell her how much I loved her in the Josephine Baker Story. Love, love, love her, too!
She was in Detroit, at Wayne State University to promote the made for TV movie, Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story, that she starred in with Jamie Foxx.
I was there to video tape the event, at the request of Congressman John Conyers, so I had All Access.
I've got a picture and video of our meeting, too! It's somewhere in my archives, when and if I can find it, I'll post it.
:jealous: Post it already!

What I would love is to see Angela and Lynn in a movie together. Have they ever done anything together? I don't remember ever seeing anything.

Yeah, it's called Mime!
Al Pacino, who also happened to win the Oscar over Denzel's performance in "X", which is a movie and performance of his that I will love 'til the end of my days, won for not looking! Now THAT was I call ACTING!! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

Give me a couple of days, it's here somewhere. It's going to take some work, though for me to find it. We're talking 6 years worth of hard drives, tapes and footage but I've got it! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

Yes it is! Even though, now it is apparent that she's had some very "slight" nose work done.

Neither one of them are good choices. Iman, is the only woman that could pull the role of "Storm", off. Not only does she look like her, she is sounds like her as well. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth" |

I didn't even know she acted until today. I won't disagree with that choice at all, but I still think Angela Bassett would not have been a bad choice, better than Halle Berry for sure. |

Angela Basset certainly has the look much moreso than Halle Berry...and Iman's acting isn't anywhere near Angela's level. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. |

The one thing about Hollywood is that they will go with the hottest actor, especially if the role calls for a Black actor, they're REALLY gonna go for the hottest actor at the time and Halle's star was shining much brighter than any Black actress at the time of casting. Remeber, she was coming off her Oscar-winning role in Monsters Ball. Hollywood doesn't take chances with the Black audience, that's why we see the same recycled Black actors in mainstream non-Black films. You can call me "ROC" for short |

Hence, the ancient "one black star at a time" rule. |
