Anyhoo, Bitches! I've met, hugged and had a conversation with Lynn Whitfield! I actually got to tell her how much I loved her in the Josephine Baker Story. Love, love, love her, too!

She was in Detroit, at Wayne State University to promote the made for TV movie, Redemption: The Stan Tookie Williams Story, that she starred in with Jamie Foxx.

I was there to video tape the event, at the request of Congressman John Conyers, so I had All Access.

I've got a picture and video of our meeting, too! It's somewhere in my archives, when and if I can find it, I'll post it.

Neither one of them are good choices. Iman, is the only woman that could pull the role of "Storm", off. Not only does she look like her, she is sounds like her as well.

I didn't even know she acted until today. I won't disagree with that choice at all, but I still think Angela Bassett would not have been a bad choice, better than Halle Berry for sure.

The one thing about Hollywood is that they will go with the hottest actor, especially if the role calls for a Black actor, they're REALLY gonna go for the hottest actor at the time and Halle's star was shining much brighter than any Black actress at the time of casting. Remeber, she was coming off her Oscar-winning role in Monsters Ball. Hollywood doesn't take chances with the Black audience, that's why we see the same recycled Black actors in mainstream non-Black films.
