She is so sweet and soft spoken. Classy and graceful, she is tiny IRL, she didn't relax her hair when I met her years ago, (she was a client) she did strictly press and curl, and in the movie (Waiting to exhale) she wore a short weave to hide her long locks.

She was fun to talk to, even if she was shy. Love the way she played the roles... she was awsome as Tina Turner. She was robbed that year she didn't get an Oscar.

Beautiful woman who is a very good actress too. She plays her role with a quiet conviction, but is on point in everything she commits to

Love this lady. biggrin

Waiting to Exhale remains my favorite film of hers. That was HER movie. Wasn't even thinking of Nippy when that movie aired. The moments where she's seen tearing up her husband's shit is still a classic.

I can still recite most of what she said too. lol

She is an AMAZING actress. I love her!

However she does seem to be typecast these days as the typical black mama. Not the ghetto, welfare queen type, but the strong, independent, supportive, yet stern mother (see: Notorious, Akeelah and the Bee, Boyz N The Hood, The Jacksons Movie).

Kinda strange, kinda awesome.

nod I remember around the time when this came out all the shine went to Whitney, but it was Angela's performance that made the movie hers.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah and Whitney was given peanuts compared to Angela in the movie as opposed to when they went to the press with it and Whitney was given the attention due to her attitude towards the press at the time. I remembered reading the Entertainment Weekly issue with Whitney and Angela on the cover and Whitney was cursing up a storm in that one I think. lol Angela just took it regally lol

She's fabulous. But they overdid her workout regimine for WLGTDWI. She's was scary muscular and hasn't seem to shake off any of that muscle since.

I would love to see her do something Shakespearean. She has the talent for it.

Her worst movie = Tyler Perry's Meet The Browns. I curse the day she worked with him.

You know what was strange about that? Tina wasn't even that muscular. She just had power with those legs. I guess that's what Angela was trying to go for but Tina's was more natural in tone I guess IDK.

Yes that bothered the shit out of me. Tina was tones but never muscular. They had Ang lookin' like a freakin' body builder and it made it hard to buy that ole Fishburne Turner was knockin her has around like a rag doll. She was a little sleeker for WTE but still...

Tina: "Im trying to help...Ike"

Ike: " You tryna help Ike? IKE AINT THE MUTHAFUCCA THAT NEED SOME HELP!"

That was Fishburn's movie all the way!!! The only other true co-star was the music! But I do love how Angela was twistin' her neck in the courtroom talking about how Ike could have everything and all she wanted was her name. queen

She & Laurence have such a chemistry, you'd think they were serious fuck buddies lol and she puts the capital A on attitude.

I loved the cafe scene from Boyz N' Da Hood where she told him "Nah, you ain't getting off that easy, sit your black ass down" and then went in on him with a tirade, I absolutely LOVE the fact that she couldn't tame that southern twang down whenever she is on a roll.
