I was gonna say wtf then I remembered...Magic IS from Michigan...makes sense. Oh yeah and who can forget the Lakers' tense rivalry with the Pistons in the '80s?

I thought the guy who owns the other Detroit pro teams was after them, too. Probably be difficult for Magic to get the team over somebody who is already running pro sport franchises. It's possible, though, as his name alone would bring more excitement to the team and venue.
