Yeah, I got mine in the 80's. It came in this really cool, colorful little box I wish I still had.
They did reissue them sometime later, but they didn't look anywhere near as cool. They just looked like shrunken down Game Boys. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

"In 1980, Nintendo launched Game & Watch"
I don't remember Nintendo logo on mine, but it must have been on there!
I'm thinking mine must have been from around 1981 so probably one of the very first ones
My sister had turtle bridge, also one of the single screen ones. |

The NES console came out in 1983-84.
Those handheld games with the LCD screens were around already in the late-70s. Entirely different technology though, comparable to calculators. |

I think I had Donkey Kong Jr and Mario's Cement Factory too. Mario's Cement Factory was a actually a big thing in my family for awhile, I remember we would all try to outdo each other's scores.
I actually played it until I maxed out the score about a year ago. I told my mom about it and I she seemed legitimately proud of me.
Oh yeah, I had Zelda, too. That had two screens, but I didn't like it as much as the otehr. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~

I have a Wii too, but I only bought it so I could watch Netflix on it.
I did play that Zelda game though. It was okay, but I like old video games a lot better in general. ~ I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR ~
