Bron wants to be compared to the best, he gotta do what the best did.

Patrick Ewing never joined up with Charles Barkley and Dominique Wilkins to take done MJ and the Bulls.

People wounld't care if Bron went to play with New York on Chicago or New Jersey, but he went to Miami with probably the 2nd best player in the league and another top 10 player who just joined the day before ... that's why Bron has turned into public enemy #1.

In fairness, Clyle Drexler did joined Hakeem (who already has 1 championship ring a years early) in order to FINALLY get his 1st ring. And also, Jerry West didn't win his one and only championship ring without the L.A. Lakers making the trade for Wilt Chamberlain.

Therefore, I think LeBron & Chris have solid points about joining Dwayne in Miami. wink

Abd Clyde was 35 yrs old in his 12th season when he got traded to houston for Otis Thorpe. He didn't leave Portland.

For some reason, I don't think D.Wade and James are gonna play well together. disbelief Don't know how Bosh will fit in, but LeBron is a strange, self-centered player. He should have gone to the Knicks.

And while I'm very glad LeBron did not choose Chicago ('cause he would have caused problems with the squad, no doubt hrmph), I was hoping Dwayne would leave Miami and join The Bulls. pout That would have been hot. I believe Dwayne and Rose would have complemented each other as 1 and 2 guards. Oh well. Now all the overhype is going to the Heat. confused

But Clyde wanted to be traded out of Portland. That team was getting eliminated in the first round of the playoff 2 years straight.

Yeah, he and those Blazers team had passed their prime. Clyde wasn't even an All-Star that season so it's totally different (and he was traded not a free agent and not the 1st or 2nd best player in the league joining the 3rd best player)

James is the back to back MVP, and his team has had the best record in the league the past 2 seasons.

Well be as it may, I'm going to be pissed if the Miami Heat ever taken down Jordan & The Bulls' 72-10 regular season record because of LeBron/Dwayne/Chris. disbelief lol

KG went to play with Pierce and Ray Allen. KG didn't get the hate Bron is getting.

Also those three players did promos for ESPN as the three amigos so no one

should hate on the magnificent 3 for the heat.

Patrick probably should have. Those cats might be wearing a ring or two.

Ask Clyde Drexler.

[Edited 7/10/10 21:51pm]

But KG's star wasn't as bright as Bron, nor did KG declare himself the "King".

Not gonna happen. the stars were alligned perfectly that season for the Bulls to win 72 games namely, they had a bunch of expansion teams to beat up on that were still trying to find their feet. That 72-10 record needs to be put in proper perspective, because it won't be done again.

True, that's why the '96 aren't the greatest NBA team of all time, imo. I'll take the '85 Lakers or the '86 Celtics over them in a seven game series. From the 60s through the 80s, the quality of play was much better, and it was more physical. During the 90s, the NBA changed the rules to favor wing players to create more offense. Can you imagine what the old skool cats like Dr.J, West, Gervin, Oscar could do in today's watered-down NBA?

A lot of damage. And not so much because the league is watered down, but because the fundamentals are bing outweighed by pure athleticism.

Not a real good excuse per se.

The Toronto Raptors were one of those then-2 new expansion teams. Ant they gave the Bills one of those 10 losts at well.

Every team has a fluke loss, that was a"most likely" fluke.

MORE SUPER TEAMS COMING

http://www.newsday.com/sp...-1.2096409

According to multiple sources who attended the wedding, which was held at Cipriani on 42nd St., the common theme among the best wishes to Melo and his new bride, television personality LaLa Vazquez, was that they should consider taking up permanent residence in New York and Carmelo should take the challenge LeBron passed on with the Knicks.

Then, with a less-than-pleased Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke in attendance, Chris Paul included in his address to the happy couple that he wanted to get Carmelo to go with him to join Amar'e Stoudemire with the Knicks "and form our own Big Three."

1. Carmelo has already admitted publicly that he was signing a 2 years extention with the Denver Nuggets. The Knicks will have to wait until 2012 providing the resuits of the upcoming collective bargining dispute between the NBA players union & team owners. Judging by the strong opinions of the owners, the lockout will be worst then the one from 1999.

2. Unless Chris Paul demands a trade, he will NOT be with the Knicks anytime soon. But whenever he becomes a free agent, he would most likely leave the Hornets. sad Damn shame really, because the Hornets' front office staff AND its owner are almost as cheap as the L.A. Clipppers. They are not trying to make powers move within the free agency market at all. disbelief

The Rockets had a team with three Hall-of-Famers - twice, actually.

Didn't work out either time. Of course, once it was when we had that quitter Scottie Pippen, so maybe that one shouldn't count.

Scottie already had 6 championship rings BEFORE playing in Houston for 1 season.

THAT Houston Rockets' backcourt were the real f***-ups, not Scottle, Charles, OR Hakeem.

I never brought into this conspiracy theory (yet?) that LeBron sold-out in that playoff series against Boston. For anything, Boston has the better beach players. Cleveland had NO beach players worth talking about! lol

Scottie did suck that season for us. Either way they were all past their primes (as was the Hakeem-Clyde-Charles) trio.

But they beat them 3 out of 4 times, so winning 1 time isn't a great counter argument. Plus, the East was weak in the 90s, because whenever MJ wasn't in the Finals, they lost to a West team.

Not the first time. In the playoffs, Phil set a play for the final shot to go to Kukoc. Pip didn't like it so he benched himself, Toni hit the shot and the won.
