do you have nosy co-workers?

You know the folks who walk past your cube back and forth trying to look at your monitor.

The ones who ask you what you brought for lunch today.

The ones who ask what your meeting with the boss was about.

The ones who want to know every detail about your weekend.

well?

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah, they're dead annoying!

Where's that report that was due two days ago?

What time do you call this to roll in at?

Where's the Henderson file?

Have you been drinking?

Yes!

- questions about my personal life

- one coworker is always asking about my weight/weight loss/eating habits

- one coworker asked how much I make. Teachers' salaries are public record.... rolleyes

And the list goes on...

I think this is so distasteful. I remember when I was leaving my last department to go to my current one, my co-worker had the audacity to ask how much more was the new department paying me....I told her calmly that I was not going to be discussing that information with her. I mean people are just so rude these days.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Not since March.

I spent a year-and-a-half in another division of this company, and lemme tell ya, those were some of the nosiest, nit-pickingest bitches I have ever had the misfortune of working with. Everybody was up in everybody else's business all day long. And don't even get me started on the office narcs. rolleyes

In January, they did a re-org of the creative department and laid off a bunch of people (the biggest narc was among those let go - best example ever of payback being a bitch woot! ). I was re-assigned, but still sat with the same group for about six weeks after that during the transition.

I'm still on the hamster wheel of progress, but at least I don't feel like I have to look over my shoulder all the time.

Nope, don't have that problem. Folks here pretty mush leave me alone - I think it has to with my size and quick temper, because I don't suffer nonsense. One day I overheard one say, "YOU tell him, not me!"

Damn, I didn't realize I'm that bad. smile

Yes. This person is also a narc, passive aggressive, and fairly incompetent. I ignore them as mch as possible without being overtly rude and mean. It sucks because I work in a very, very small office so everyone has to interact with everyone else at some point.

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I used to, at my last full-time job. You couldn't make a move without someone wondering where you were going. I hated it. Now I'm freelance, but I do have one onsite gig where there's a nosy woman. Mostly she's just fixated on what I'm having for lunch. I never understand why she cares so much.

I never have understood that either. Another thing that irks me about nosy people is how they will ask another co-worker something pertaining to you in the breakroom...knowing that whatever they are discussing can be heard outside the breakroom, yet they pass right by your cubicle after they leave. Like really is it that serious? Why not ask the source if your question regarding me is that important to you? disbelief
