What is it about people who drive white cars? Ok, people. I don't want to offend anyone, but if the shoe fits...Here we go.
I drive to work and back Monday through Friday. It never fails. I run into at least one asshole both ways. Most of the time it averages 4-5; however, one striking fact remains. The majority of these fools are driving white cars or trucks. They are rude, reckless and dangerous. They speed, tailgate, cut people off and bogart. WTF???? And don't start with the "It must be your driving." Bullshit! I am a very courteous and efficient driver. Sure, there are times I have gone over the speed limit on the Beltway, but for the most part I'm a very good, safe driver. Even took a safe driver's course. I've had only one very minor accident where I was at fault, and I wrote the guy a check right on the spot. He was like , cashed the check that day and it cleared. No problem. But these folk in white cars just piss me off! Anyone else here notice that phenomenon?

I hate white cars. Not necessarily the drivers, but the cars itself. I think they're ugly.
I live in Connecticut, so we get alot of New York drivers for whatever reason, and alot of them can't drive for SHIT. More damn accidents from people with NY license plates. I do nothing professionally. I only do things for fun. johnart: Acrylic's old bras is where tits of all sizes go to frolic after they die. Tit Heaven.

In the last week, for me it's still been the red vehicles, red to match the hothead road rager behind the wheel.
Honkin' because they have to share the road

i've got a white car. i guess i'm some sort of dickhead... everyone's a fruit & nut case

You do realize that white is the most popular color for automobiles, right? (17.8% of the cars sold in the US in 2009 were white.)
It stands to reason that there'd be more jerky drivers in white cars - since there are more white cars, period. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I think you just need to calm the fuck down and get a grip.

Nah, the road ragers need to calm down and realize we're just sharing a road.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
That too.

I found out it doesn't cancel out or diffuse the other person's road rage out by honking and flipping them the bird back
It really didn't mean nuthin to me so I was like yeah yeah toot toot
Dude was like " Pull over and I'll kick your ass!!! "

You must be one of the offenders.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Not necessarily; unless you drive like one.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No, I didn't know that. I thought silver was the most popular. I know that white cars are very popular in the south and west where it gets very hot. But I'm like Acrylic. I think white is the most unattractive color for a car. White limosines look so tacky IMO. What's the second most popular color? Oh, I guess I can look that up for myself...

I wonder if you just notice white cars more than other cars.
I'm firmly planted in denial

replace "white car" with BMW and you've got the gist of an epidemic here in the Bay Area...
and I drive for a living so I've had my disproportionate share of the experiences...

Funny you should say that. I have a neighbor who drives a white BMW, and I have seen her driving into/out of our community like a bat out of hell.

right??? I mean, I love driving a BMW, it really is a very well made sports sedan. But, with great power comes great responsibility and that's what's lacking!! There's a certain amount of respect for the machine that must be applied when driving that type of car and too many people just don't...

Folks get furious when you find their lane, don't they?
Why!! Cause they have to share?
I know I ain't driving below the speed limit, so that ain't it.
This last time I was signalling to go into the right lane as the hothead apparently wanted to enter that lane at the same time. Boy, it was like he felt entitled to tailgate me!
I think "crazy" can be defined as hurling insults at a stranger while at a stop light.
I was thinkin... he really need to get some p---y soon!

I usually don't do anything to piss off drivers, but I have noticed this, too. I will purposefully slow down when I see a tailgater come up on me very fast. That happened to me just a few days ago. I was exiting my community and made sure there were no cars coming in either direction. No sooner had I made my turn onto the road, I look up in the rear view mirror and see this fool driving up on my ass going at least 50mph in a 25mph zone. I slowed down to about 20 forcing him to back off, which he did. I looked up again and he was at least 3 car lengths behind me.

You know? If I'm in the fast lane doing barely the maximum, I somewhat understand... it's supposed to be their lane to pass.
But why stay furious in the slow lane?
I don't appreciate left-lane bandits either, but *I* understand when they have no other lane to be in and they are still going faster than the vehicle to their right hand side. Why stay mad and tailgate?
Sayin', some of these drivers need to have their blood pressure checked before they get behind the wheel.

That happens to me every.damn.day on my way home from work. They're all coming out of a company called Epic Systems. I call them "Epic Failures." We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Can you not pass on this highway? Why see red?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No, you can't pass them. It's a two-lane road, and they're getting on in a no-passing zone. I've had to slam on my brakes more times than I can count, all because of some entitled little butt munches. [Edited 7/4/10 13:24pm] We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Remember... you're sharing the road with those butt munches
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well, I wish I didn't have to. They drive like complete morons. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
They just drive differently and feel like they yielded enough for you to adjust your course. Don't get all highway nazi on us Geney-G.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
No, they don't just "drive differently." It is illegal to pull out onto a highway (or any roadway) in such a manner that you cut someone off. I am already on the road and have the right of way. What they are doing is called failure to yield. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
