No, they don't just "drive differently." It is illegal to pull out onto a highway (or any roadway) in such a manner that you cut someone off. I am already on the road and have the right of way. What they are doing is called failure to yield.

Throw the book at 'em, Geney! giggle

Does this affect your blood pressure in the morning?

You should write down their licence plate numbers and turn 'em in. That shit is an accident waiting to happen.

We get a lot of eeeeediots up in the Baraboo/Dells area, especially in the summer *ugh*

I swear, when people go on vacation, they turn their brains off; disbelief

I understand "right of way" but I also exercise courtesy and even a little psychic empathy when I see someone waiting to pull their way out of position.

I don't like it when I get cut off "illegally", but maybe a little eyeroll and on occassion one toot is about as much as I react.

The opposite of that is people who see you coming, but pull out in front of you onto a 55 mph county highway because they don't want to wait the four seconds it will take for you to go by. And then, they don't even try to get up to speed.

Can you not pass on this highway? Why see red?

I just realized you were complaining about some huge business econo vans not getting up to 55 mph in under a few seconds.

Are you expecting them to drive the batmobile? confuse

If I see people wanting to creep out onto the highway or cross, I certainly reduce my speed, and maybe even change lanes to make it easier for them thumbs up!

See! I do the same thing because I would appreciate a driver showing me the same courtesy. Every morning driving to work I use a parkway where there is a long, slow merge lane for folk coming onto the parkway. As I approach this merge, there is always traffic stopped or slowed. I purposefully slow down to let a few cars merge in front of me, usually 2 cars at a time, but it's usually the third WHITE CAR razz that tries to bogart after I've allowed that 2nd car through. If only people would understand "tandem" merging on a busy road, traffic would flow a lot more smoothly. But noooo. There's always that fool who can't stand someone getting ahead of him. I'm not talking about coming to a complete stop on a highway where the drivers behind you have to slam on brakes. That is dangerous. But if traffic is already slow and creeping, what's the big deal letting a few cars slide on in? Most people appreciate it and wave

Another thing that pisses the shit out of me is girdlockers. These assholes refuse to allow enough space for traffic to flow throuh an intersection controlled by a traffic light. If you see traffic ahead of you is not moving and you're approaching an intersection, don't fuckin tailgate the car in front of you trying to make it through the light. Wait until the intersection is clear and then go. But these fools are so afraid of being caught by the light, they will lock the intersection blocking traffic trying to cross. mad

Agreed. "Tandem" merging helps everyone. And if you're caught at a light so what. I swear the people behind me get mad if I'm at the front of the line and don't go through the end of a light. Folks need to lighten up.

hmmm

silver cars for me..

and just today...someone behind me used a not quite a left turn lane..to pass me and then cut me off cuz there was traffic coming at him/her..

i mean at the light its a turning lane for left turns..but where they did that it wasnt even wide enough

and this is not the first time..this seems to be an epidemic starting here..

using the middle of the road to pass in a no passing zone...or the right turn only lane..

sun 'why y'all trying to say goodbye? I didn't go anywhere, I'm right here, im all around you,always..' sun

I used to have a white car and I realized it made me drive like I had no damn sense so I opted for a dark blue civic which is probably the single most common make/model/color in the country. Now I can drive like an ass and you never know it was me because there are so many out there just like me.

Well, the car does look nice, but I would prefer it in a different color. But in this picture, it sets off the yard beaurifully...lovely landscaping. lol

What I like about it is it seats 4 comfortably, sips gas and gatdamn if that thing doesn't corner like it's on rails!! We've had ours for about 9 years and I'm constantly tryin to "restore" it...

OK I remember THAT quite clearly. No offense, I don't think those were the white cars the thread starter had in mind lol
