Setting up labels?

I need to print labels that will have two columns of text and some kind of colored symbol in the bottom right-hand corner (in the ballpark of the image below).

Using something like Paint, Word or Excel, how do I make a template, where it'll be super-easy and fast to just plug in the info and go to town?

Your help is much appreciated!

sent them up, a few to a page in word, and make it a .dot file with active fields that you can tab through to enter info

err....isn't what you just posted like a template? just save it as template then open it up, change whatever and save as new name.

Word sucks. So does Excel. disbelief

Not, technically, labels (just thought that would be easier to explain). I'll be printing directly on "hang tags" (2.5" x 6.5").

As for Howard, yes - he'll re-sign. Hours will probably stay the same, as Mel's convinced him that they're key to advertising.

What do you suggest? I just figured it would be nice if I could use something I already have.

He'll talk about it forever and then re-sign.

I'd prefer if he changed his hours, though. I'm not usually up from 6-7:30, and that's one of my favorite times of the show. I'd love if he started later.

I don't know shit about making labels. Sorry.

If that's all you have, nothing I suggest will help, really. But a program like InDesign is a lot easier to work with.

I don't have a car, and I really like to listen while I'm working (which is always on my computer), so I only need the online option.

It was a helish nightmare trying to explain it to the yahoos at Sirius, though. The woman did not believe me when I told her I didn't have a car. She really couldn't fathom it.

No, individual lines.

2 columns with in a 2.5'' width?

No, that's the total width of the hang tags. The two columns should be equal width, as wide as possible (leaving a 1/8" margin).

Nothing elaborate but I think this could easily be done in word. Insert shape, just select a rectangle, make it any size, right click on it go to format autoshape, in the size tab select your height and width. then once you have that you'll want to go to insert text box and you can literally draw/drag the size and shape of the columns you want. as for you little color box at the bottom you can do similar things...insert shape, fill it with what ever color you want.

hope that helps
