I think they both have a different type of arrogance. Kobe's arrogance is simply i'm the

best basketball player on the court and i dare you to take my throne.

I didn't have a problem with LeBron's press conference last night. Everyone had the option of not tuning in. Here's the problem i have with LeBron is the dancing and juking during timeouts in a

game and even sometimes before the game starts. If you wanna do that stuff win the

game first and then dance all you want. It would also help to win a title first.

For real. I love you as long as you're with me but i'll hate you if you leave.

LeBron's decision was simple. These guys(Bosh,Wade,James)obviously talked

about this prior to the free agency period. These guys had to think we have to

take down the Lakers and Celtics and i can't do it alone. Boston and the Lakers

seem to add a piece to the puzzle every year so these guys had to think why

can't we form our own team. And to these pundits out there saying oh this is

LeBron joining Wade's team need to chill. Wade wouldn't get out the first or second round

with his previous roster. I for one look forward to the 3 of these guys playing together.

Dan Gilbert needs to shut the hell up with his claim the Cavs will win a title before

LeBron.

It was the right decision. I'm sure most Clevelanders would tell you they understand why he left, but to announce it, before the world, on primetime TV after allowing all this buildup, is thoughtless. There are right ways and wrong ways to move on. You do it the right way, you can walk away with no regrets or blame for the other side's reaction. You do it the wrong way, you've pretty much asked for the hate that comes your way.

Then again, LBJ may care about the region, he doesn't give two cents' worth about the City's sports psyche. A guy that wears a Yankees hat to an Indians' home playoff game, and conspicuously hangs on the sidelines of the opponent in Browns stadium, and talks lovingly of the team and player who eviscerated THE HOMETOWN TEAM THAT HE PLAYS FOR really doesn't relate to Cleveland sports at all. In hindsight, those were warning signs.

Not saying what Gilbert did was unbecoming (though probably more calculated than appears at first blush). But Bron Bron set all this into motion by poor execution. He was talked into doing this by the guy who interviewed him, his best friend, and his celebrity agent. I don't care how much money he raised, that was dumb.

So I can understand why Cleveland reacted the way it did.

Sure, LeBron could have done things a little different, but it was still his choice. Don't forget, for years he asked for a team to built around him with other stars coming on board and Gilbert couldn't supply him that. He dedicated 7 professional years, 4 high school years as solid sports entertainment and he's still in his mid 20's. How long do you expect him to suffer without a championship? If anyone deserves criticizm its the Cavs owner for his crybaby rants and raves. Let's be real. LeBron is a grown man that gave more to the city of cleveland and the state of Ohio than he got back. He was the one with the talent, the dedication and for 7 years the loyalty to this city. He gave up money and fans to finally be on a winning team.

Remember: I said he made the right decision.

Going on national television detracts from everything he did for the State of Ohio.

Now to play evillol's advocate for a minute.

If the goal was "to finally be on a winning team" then he would have stayed with the winningest franchise in the last 2 regular seasons and one who made the NBA Finals 3 years ago. LBJ was the key component for the team, sure, but he didn't cover ALL of that ground by himself.

I'd say a man who gets paid hundreds of millions of dollars from a franchise supported by public dollars wasn't "giving" anything. He was performing for compensation.

Plus, both sides deserve some blame, for reasons laid out very well here.

LeBron doesn't deserve any crown yet. He doggone sure doesn't deserve angel wings. He's a flawed kid who paid his dues, made his mistakes and made the right decision for a fresh start.

He just executed it terribly. A bad goodbye stays with you for all the wrong reasons.

After reading Gilbert's comments last night..there might've been more going on in Cleveland than we think...Lebron's actions were lame, but the owners comments has raised eyebrows....

Remember LeBron was a free agent. He didn't have to tell Gilbert jack. lol

Free agents leave all the time. Shaq, KG, the list goes on and on.

Just a thought:

Losing the LeBron Sweepstakes might actually help some of these teams.

It might help the Knicks realize there's no savior coming to redeem them from a decade of terrible decisionmaking in the front office and putrid play on the court.

It might help motivate the Bulls to realize their potential, because the Next Michael is not walking through that door to lead them.

It might help the Cavs -- yes, the Cavs players that are left -- to realize they're on their own, the days of showboating and showing up inferior competition is over, and listen to their new coach, who apparently is the only person in the organization with the credibility to lead right now.

Aside from his bad drafts(Knicks would have been better off with Lopez & Jennings over Gallinari & Hill), Walsh has us headed in the right direction. He had to undo nine years of damage by Layden and Isiah. He got us under the cap, and once that piece of shit Curry's contract is done, we can push for Carmelo and Chris Paul in '11.

Poor Byron Scott. Think he regrets his decision now? Good luck getting top free agents to play for Cleveland with that loudmouth owner. smile

I think that would be great. NBA basketball is so much more fun to watch when three teams are good: the Celtics, the Lakers, and the Knicks.

Hard to say Scott isn't disappointed, but the Cavs have cap space and a FA who wants their last shot at guaranteed money before the CBA is negotiated will take it.

Jordan Farmar to the Nets.

Bad news for Knick fans. Dolan is putting pressure on Walsh to bring Isiah back in the organization. If Isiah becomes GM, I'm done with the Knicks until Dolan sells the team. Walsh spent the last two years cleaning up Isiah's mess, but Dolan wants him back??????????

Any you complain about the Bulls front office????? They're LIGHT YEARS ahead of the Knicks, and the Bulls have a better upside right now.

For some reason, Dolan has a love jones for Isiah. He still consults him on basketball matters. Nice way to undercut Donnie Walsh.

I'll give them a lil credit but the Bulls are still way short of where they need 2 be.

No starting 2 guard, no back up point, no 3 point shooters, no centers and the roster, no backup power forward. That is a LOT of holes.
