Just got this:

The Miami Heat have agreed in principle to trade Daequan Cook and the 18th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for the No. 32 selection in the draft, sources told Yahoo! Sports.

“We are pleased to add Daequan Cook to the Thunder roster,” said Sam Presti, Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager in a press release. “He will add depth and shooting to our backcourt.”

Via Adrian Wojnarowski/Yahoo!

Someone told me the Nets traded their pick to the T-Wolves for Al Jefferson. And the Magic traded Vince and Nelson to the Hornets for Chris Paul. I'm trying to verify this. Stay tuned.

Why would they trade a player an the 18th pick to move down? Just a typo I hope?

And I would be utterly shocked to see CP3 get traded. But this is the NBA, so anything is possible.

Miami's maximizing cap space to make a big free agent push. Word is Bosh wants to be the secondary guy to either Wade or LeBron.

If LeBron chooses to leave Cleveland, I see him going to Chicago.

Yeah I figured that but still... Thats the problem with sports, especially the NBA. Nobody wants to remain in their draft position, financially it's too hard to pay rookies, so teams sell the farm for a chance to load up on one or two superstars. The rich get richer, and the poor stay in the draft lottery.

I used to be a huge NBA fan, but it's so hard for me to even watch anymore. I have no team. Im in the Bulls market, but I just don't care. Its become so superstar driven, and I find it difficult to specifically cheer for a player who is 10 years younger than me.

Im an obsessive NFL fan, but even my interest in that has dropped over the years.

I can only hope at this point. Paxson the VP and Gar the GM are INCOMPETENT.

I'm waiting anxiously to see what Philly does. I like Evan Turner and

Derrick Favors but i'm certainly in favor of Evan Turner because Philly

needs outside shooting in the worst way. Lou Williams nor Willie Green

are consistent and Kapono is m.i.a.

I might add that Iguadala is not a consistent threat from outside either.

His game is running the floor and playing above the rim but i like

the fact that Doug Collins has already reached out to him and it looks

like he's staying in Philly.

If the Bulls trade Deng 4 Gortat and Mike Petruis of the Magic I'll be a happy camper.

It's always been like that. In the NBA, you need at least two stars(surrounded by solid role players) in order to be a legit contender. Teams like the '04 Pistons are the exception, not the rule.
