Honestly though I think why some of y'all are saying you love Facebook is you find ORGers on there. Hell I know some of y'all have found my ass. So you're happy over there.
I don't play none of the games over there though.
Over where?
The east west north or south coast? I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies

But then again, Org's got MacDaddy.

The org to me isn't as fun as it used to be. I like FB and the org for 2 diff reasons, but I find the org more entertaining. Well when the org was entertaining that is. I'm not dissing the org by any means, I'm jsut outta the loop. I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure

No I said I see what you mean then again it's no different from MySpace to me. Plus my peeve with Facebook is that you meet old school chums. Even though some are cool, there's always the few that piss you off that wanna add you to their friends list. Family members have Facebooks too. |

Ah. That's where me being Dutch is a good thing; the school chums is an American thing. Plus, YOU control who sees you and YOU control who you add as a buddy.
Plus, I got a cool family. No secrets. >> |

No real censoring on FB unless you are just that "over the top" . People either read your posts, or join your groups or they don't. No locked threads, no feeling bullied by a certain mod etc. However, the Org has benefits in that you can get into detailed discussions within a "community" setting about issues artists etc. Both should still be doable. I don't think one excludes the other. Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that? |

Plus they don't really compare IMHO. That's why I wish folks on there just come here every once in a while. |

I see this as a grown folks forum and IMO there should be no locked threads, no banning, no censorship at all. If I were a mod, I know I´d HAVE to monitor some of the stuff that´s going on here but, as an ordinary orger since 1999, I say that some mods are waaaaay to strict when it comes to locking threads or banning certain people who used to be my favorite orgers. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?" |

Facebook is like breakfast table chat with extended family and friends: We check in with one-another, share milestones and updates, reminisce a bit, make sure we're all doing well (or offer support when someone is not) ...and that's about it. Clean and sober. The org, however, is my local pub -- it's where I can escape to for a dash of energizing dysfunction, meet folk from all over the world who can teach me new stuff, pontificate myself about any and everything, get a bit irreverent, brawl a bit, kiss and make up... and do the whole thing again the next night if I choose. I love it.
I don't see the overlap, and I don't lke mixing the two worlds. They're a handy balance of one-another.

The favoritism displayed by 1 mod in particular is just over the top, and sometimes makes me think, yanno what...I really didn't come to this forum for this. I understand that mods in general have a tough and thankless job in keeping this forum from being shut down by our Purple friend, but there is indeed favoritism and a vast amount of "selectiveness" when deciding which threads are considered "nonsense", and which threads totally disappear, which people can talk shydt without getting their comments edited as "bait". Now, I did not intend for my comments to specifically put the mods on blast, but I am being honest. Like I said the Org has it's benefits as a music centered community, and both FB and the Org GD should not exclude each other. But I guess some people just don't want to deal with the hassle. Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that? |

Here, here
Whats funny to me though is, alot of decent orgers get bullied by some of these loner, kill joy know-it-alls who don't have a chance to speak up outside of this internet world and they don't end up being censored(or mostly, what some of the P&R crowd say on daily basis ).
Thats why I understand when folks like Ivy or MuthaFunka get fed up with this place. |

I had been on the org for nearly 15 years and was there during the purple and black days. Through the popularity of other message boards, blog, social networking, and with all the good laughs and debates, this is still one of my homes to this day. |
