So is it safe not to be shocked at any celebrity when

.....they declare their gayness? I mean the first reactions from people are always "who cares" or "knew already" or "not surprising".

So actually i'm thinking that "straight" celebrities are the minority? Or is anyone in the industry straight? hmmm

LOVE HARD.

I feel safe and secure in my non-shockedness.

It's what you make it.

Well, as long as there are some people on this earth who still cling to the antiquated idea that being anything other than 100% hetero is inferior I hope celebrities continue to come out.

There are plenty of "straight" celebrities. But luckily, in this day and age, it is safer to come out of the metaphorical closet than it was 10, 20, 30... years ago. You'll still have douchebags who are against gay people -- but we don't listen to those idiots anyway, now do we?!

I'm very rarely shocked by someone announcing they're gay. Sometimes I think "oh" and then a second later I think about cookies. As a straight person, it's no big deal to me but then again, the announcement wasn't for me. It was for the people that are in the closet and are scared to come out. If one famous person announcing their homosexuality inspires a closeted person to come out, then I have no problem with the shocking or not so shocking headlines.
