It's just hard to believe it's as simple as what she's saying, when studies have shown that good looking people are unfairly treated...treated better, that is. They get paid more, hired more.

Everyone cant wear the same type of clothing.

And some people confuse clothes with fitting and fitting right

My boyfriend's cousin has a big belly, big boobs and the skinniest legs ever. She doesnt wear the proper bra and her shirts ride up. It drives me nuts. But I dont say anything cuz I dont buy her clothes.

[Edited 6/4/10 12:13pm]

In her interview she looked perfectly appropriately dressed for an office.

And she is indeed hot, no matter what she wears.

If you were an even fairly attractive woman working with a bunch of not so attractive women, you would totally see how this can lead to a shitty work experience.

You avoid this problem by only hiring hot people!

But shucks, people complain about that too. confused

Just watched her interview on CNN.com. Her outfit (that one at least) didn't look inappropriate at all. Attractive, yes, but nothing extreme. If that was at all indicative of what she actually wore, then its pretty shitty to be fired for it, if that is indeed why they fired her.

And her lawyer looks like a toad.

Can we stop talking about ethics and discrimination at work because of someone's physical appearance for a minute?

Let's all just sit back and appreaciate that body of a godess, shall we?

Citibank says:

Ms. Lorenzana has chosen to make numerous unfounded accusations and inaccurate statements against Citibank and several of our employees. While we will not discuss the details of her case, we can say that her termination was solely performance-based and not at all related to her appearance or attire. We are confident that when all of the facts and documentation are presented, the claim will be dismissed.

Well, of course they're going to say that. Hopefully it's true and she was canned not for having great cans but because she was a shitty employee that needed to get her can kicked out to the curb.

However, it is totally plausible that she was being harassed and was simply trying to do her job and this was their retaliation for her complaining about the harassment she was receiving.

I mean, come on…you’re a woman. You know how much women get harassed.

She has a nice body. And her clothes look fine. I want to see the person that fired her.

I can see that--nasty looks & petty comments--but unless those ugly women hired her they probably can't fire her. And if they were the ones who hired & fired, then the unattractive women who were going to have problems with her hotness would have had problems with it during her interview & probably not hired her in the first place.

My guess is she was hired because she was hot, then was a bad and unprofessional worker and fired for it

but not having worked with her the only thing we can do is speculate

of course she dressed professional in her interview! lol you think her lawyer would let her go out rocking a slutty look?

All I know is I've worked with plenty of beautiful women and plenty of unprofessional women, and it is not their beauty that gets them in trouble--except perhaps personal issues of jealousy & sexual harassment. But nobody is complaining that a good, qualified, professionally dressed employee is just too beautiful! That's ridiculous.

Of course no one will admit to that being the reason for letting someone go, but you're being naive if you think that it doesn't actually happen.

I didn't say she was, either, but I don't think their complaints would amount to much if she's pleasant, professional, qualified

more than that, they might actually like her! Ugly women are actually capable of liking beautiful women if the beautiful woman is nice & easy to work with.

Not all women are blinded by their jealousy. Those jealous complaining women would be the exception, not the rule, if this woman was acting & dressing appropriately.

I do believe it happens, but more often it would be a case of an obsessed boss, not a good employee who just happens to be beautiful.

This could be the case with her, and she'd be entitled to sue, but her comments about gaining weight & being "too good looking" & "not being able to help it" make question her. Some wome actually do dress & act inappropriately and YOU'D be naive to think that doesn't happen, so there! smile

I mean, come on…you’re a woman. You know how much women get harassed.

I have been harassed exactly twice in my 25-year professional life. Once by a boss who made a crude comment about me in front of some other people (but did not come on to me - though he was abusive in other ways toward everyone who worked for him - male and female). And once by a boss who actually came on to me, took no for an answer, apologized, and said it wouldn't happen again. He left the organization shortly after that for other reasons.

And I honestly don't know any other women who've been systematically harassed. My friends and I have all worked in male-dominated professions without any problems, to speak of. Then again, we've all been careful about how we acted and dressed at work.

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Is this an example of the kind of outfit she'd wear to work? Because I think that top is far too lowcut to wear in a professional setting, I don't care if you're bigbusted or small.

I watched the video linked upthread - her lawyer wants to bang her, you can tell. His eye bags even had erections.
