Giant sink hole: 150 dead I've never seen anything like this before. Wow.

Looks like a hole to Middle-Earth or even hell, but apparently this wasn't the first time. The same city in Guatamala had a similar sinkhole in 2007:

That's really scary. But how did it take out so many people? Was there an apartment or commerical complex sitting on top?
There was a sink hole just outside of Montreal a couple weeks ago, but it swallowed only one home and killed a family of three. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

So... from what I can find online, it seems the 150 dead are attributed not directly to the sink hole, but to flooding, general destruction, etc., brought on by Hurricane Agatha, which is thought to have partially caused to the sink hole.
Still, there must be some fatalities here. Apparently, a 3-storey building was swallowed up.
