Is there a world wide media cover up of this story in the UK we do not see these pictures on TV, the news reports are short and lacking in real detail!

At the weekend people protesting outside of BP's offices got little or no media air time.

The BP Oil Slick is killing life in the gulf and no one's getting mad ?

mad

I would really like to know what is being reported around the world about this ?

sad

BP also had a plant blow up here outside of Houston years ago that killed tons of people, and they were very bad about compensating family (I met a lawyer who was working for the victims at a party in Houston). RUMOR: they let certain repairs or renovations slide in that plant in favor of an acceptable risk for the sake of profit.

disbelief this saddens me so. I just don't understand why on Earth there wasn't a plan in place already in the event something like this happen.....it's so disturbing.
Honestly, I think God is really pissed. The weather tragedies lately and this.....I'm just saying. If we don't appreciate his gifts he has all the right to take em back.

I may be wrong but it seems all their efforts to contain the leak have just been an attempt to save the well for future use...shitty

in an industrailized world, shit is gonna happen...but when it does and you're responisble, HANDLE THAT SHIT RESPONSIBLY!!!

You know what, your right my friend who a top engineer said they should burn all the oil after the first 72 hours had past, because they would not be able to stop the flow in the water as the currents in that part of the world are really strong....man she was right...

BP did not want to burn the oil because they wanted to keep it for future use, MONEY...GREEDY ...MONEY.... mad

And I'm not exactly sure how it's related but I was throwing a fit yesterday because I paid $250 for ONE cucumber. My Mom said it was because of the BP deal.....I'm about to grow my own food. Sick of this.

That's the way to go. I started my veggie garden the first of the
month. Last year i grew a good crop of okra. This year i'm going for
okra,squash,tomatoes,bell peppers,and cucumbers.

at the very least don't use/buy BP (or it's subsidiaries) fuel or related products...I've always used Castrol oil in my vehicles, owned by BP...never again...

I have already stopped using their services or products. Although it's difficult to know just what products they DO make since many are listed under different names. I'd like to think there was much more we could do in the way of protesting, etc. without it ending up costing 'us' more in the long run, as in prices of fish and veggies skyrocket, and BP ends up with more profits.

I'm going to email a very angry letter to Obama. Any other suggestions???
