Is there a world wide media cover up of this story in the UK we do not see these pictures on TV, the news reports are short and lacking in real detail!

At the weekend people protesting outside of BP's offices got little or no media air time.

The BP Oil Slick is killing life in the gulf and no one's getting mad ?



I would really like to know what is being reported around the world about this ?

BP also had a plant blow up here outside of Houston years ago that killed tons of people, and they were very bad about compensating family (I met a lawyer who was working for the victims at a party in Houston). RUMOR: they let certain repairs or renovations slide in that plant in favor of an acceptable risk for the sake of profit.

this saddens me so. I just don't understand why on Earth there wasn't a plan in place already in the event something like this happen.....it's so disturbing.
Honestly, I think God is really pissed. The weather tragedies lately and this.....I'm just saying. If we don't appreciate his gifts he has all the right to take em back.

I may be wrong but it seems all their efforts to contain the leak have just been an attempt to save the well for future use...shitty

I have already stopped using their services or products. Although it's difficult to know just what products they DO make since many are listed under different names. I'd like to think there was much more we could do in the way of protesting, etc. without it ending up costing 'us' more in the long run, as in prices of fish and veggies skyrocket, and BP ends up with more profits.

I'm going to email a very angry letter to Obama. Any other suggestions???
