I saw SATC1 for the second time with a guy I was dating and he was like this the whole time + + . The only thing he liked (and remembered) about the movie was Kim Catrall being naked on the table with sushi on all her fun parts. at those pussy-whipped men. Only way I'd go see this hot garbage is if Jennifer Hudson's wearing a bathing suit. With her old body or new body?

That's what I did with the first one. But this was an excuse to do something fun with my girls. I have one friend who insists she's Samantha but in reality she's more like Rose from Golden Girls from the neck up and Blanche from the waist down. When you see, let me know if Carrie and Adian "hook up".

Now Carrie, I have never known you to be a party poop over something that involves clothes.. I mean, the clothes, Gurl ...ya,okay, so I'm still caught up on the clothes to think about how dreadful the script might be

The last one was awful compared to the TV Series (do they think cinema audiences are dumber than TV audiences or something?) but regardless I'm still looking forward to watching the new one

I mean, the clothes, Gurl ...ya,okay, so I'm still caught up on the clothes to think about how dreadful the script might be You know, that’s part of what bothered me about the last movie, to be honest. I mean, I loooooved looking at them, but they took it just one step too far. The fashion was always a huge part of the show, but still managed to be just one part of their personality/hobbies/whatever. And Carrie herself would wear thrift store stuff as often as designer stuff, actually other than shoes, sometimes more. The movie actually used the word “labels” with pride and the whole thing turned my stomach. It became very superficial in a way it just wasn’t before. I’m not saying I don’t love the clothes – I do – there just used to be more heart to it. |

It was also VERY obvious that they were getting paid majorly for the product placement because they took every opportunity to mention designer names which they rarely did before. On the tv show, they might mention a designer name once per episode if that much. That whole vogue shoot montage was a hot mess of marketing whoredom.

You're both right... ...but tell me you didn't love that little sparkly hat she wore when she ran to Miranda's on New Year's Eve...i could have smacked Pat Field for putting her in those shoes running through New York streets (over the top unrealistic), but that little sequined hat made life in that movie worthwhile...for a minute

Pat was doing what they call a continuing thread, and by the end of that movie I wanted to see another belt so bad I could just scream . Interestingly enough that was actually a thrift store piece...I wonder if it ended up sparking any trends or knock offs

Okay, I totally love Wendy Williams. She's talking about going to the premiere last night and she wore a $20 dress from Wal-mart.
She also has Celine Dion on the phone today.

The only thing that got me a little skeptical about the fashion at first is that some of the still photos show them with uncovered arms when they're on their trip in Abu Dhabi. Mind you, when you travel to Arabic countries, on the resort property you can wear what you want, but when you go a'roamin in the streets you should dress with respect towards custom. the one thing that got me excited though is that there's a scene with Carrie in a souk, and she rocked a good outfit! She has on some ridiculous couture ball skirt, with a simple t-shirt and a shrug to cover her arms...she looks like she rolled out of bed(in couture) but though it's casual, it looks great. I would wear the same thing if I were traveling in the region doing some shopping and checking out the local flavor; ya gotta know how to jazz it up even though you're being respectful towards local sensibilities! So although we know they're going to go all out and over the top with the brand whoring, maybe Pat Field will give us a few fashion moments that make sense for the quirkier, old skool SATC fans.

The fashions are over THA top on that trip. Looking forward to it. Are you talking about the Jadore Dior tee she's wearing when she sees Aidan? Everytime i see that scene I think of the ep when Lucy Liu hired Samantha to do her PR then fired her after finding out she used her name to get a Birkin. Lucy was wearing a similar tee.
