Yeah, I'm a big fan. It's been many years, but I read it several times as a child.

Oh my god! I couldn't watch it now even if I wanted to.
When I was 6 we watched it at school and I cried my eyes out. I had to sit with one of the teachers. I got home and started telling my mum about my day and started crying again. My brother thought it was sunny to sing the theme song - bright eyes - to make me cry. He did it all the time. Fucker. I can't even listen to that song anymore.

Ditto. I was obsessed with it when I was a kid. It's hard to believe the author's claim that he was only telling a child's story and that the religious symbolism and persecution themes were not meant to be allegory, because it's so perfect at each. Even when I was a kid I sensed the rabbits meant something more. ..but according to the author, no.

Bright Eyes was a big hit at the time and I could not listen to it without crying. One of my favourite songs. Mike Batt the man who wrote it (he now writes songs for Katie Melula),wrote it about his father who was dying of cancer. The medication he was on took all the life out of his eyes. "How could the light that burned so brightly suddenly burn so pale?" quite heartbreaking actually. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

That ending to Watership Down (the cartoon) is one of the treasured bits of movie in my mind permanently. I get so many abstract feelings of life, death, and family in such a simple little sequence.
Why's the vocals sound like Art Garfunkel? Oh wait, it is! lol. I also LOVE the 70's cartoon of The Lion the With and the Wardrobe. Hate the recent movie. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid
