SCNDLS said: So, since I've been travelling for the last few months it took me awhile to get my MJ by Kaufman framed. Then it was so big, I had to hire someone to hang it up.
But damn if it didn't come out beautiful! I also FINALLY got my Miles and Ella prints framed and hung after 5 years of being under my bed. This is Ray by the same artist as the other two. [Edited 5/10/10 14:18pm] I want those They are beautiful and Gorgeous MICHAEL JACKSON

Steve's business partner called me two days ago to offer me the Hendrix I was interested in. Some gallery wants it but he wanted me to have it. Shiiiiit, I ain't got another grip to drop on that after the MJ. Oh, well
Plus, I said the next piece I buy is gonna be this Herb Ritts pic. I GOTTA have this!

Plus, this is my fave pic of Liz. She's like, "I'm still the baddest bitch even baldheaded with a scar on my head. What!" I'ma hang it with the Ella, Lena, and Diana pieces. My living room is kind of an homage to female icons. I have Josephine Baker in there too, so Liz would make that theme complete. [Edited 5/10/10 16:23pm]

I'd love to do movie posters, and start with Mahogany! That's gorgeous. I almost bought an original movie poster of Lady Sings the Blues but I waited too long. I got this original Spanish version of the Carmen Jones poster instead. NBJ, this one been leaning on the wall in my guest room, unhung, for over a year. Ya know? I can't come on here talking about the print I bought from Target and hung up with some damn 3M Command Strips without feeling like a homeless bum who just walked into the Beverly Wilshire. SCNDLS, I'm totally envious of the flawless blend of splashy personality and tasteful elegance displayed in your home. I hate you.

Oh hell fuck yeah. "What's Goin' On" Marvin. Ronnie Wood is a ridiculously talented artist. The story goes he joined the Rolling Stones just so he could pay for art school. I've been lusting after this one for a minute

I just have this Corbijn picture of Miles on my wall.
I used to have it next to my computer / recording -setup so that it would remind me to keep working on my shit. That's what Miles always used to tell to musicians and other artists. I've gotten lazy since I moved that poster to the kitchen.

Looks very nice.
I don't have pics at the moment but I have an original piece from an Israeli art student, another original from a local artist, a few mass produced prints that I like, a couple that I did myself and several that my son did...one that is so fantastic it seriously looks like a real artist did it....he called it "Spring Robins". I'll have to take a pic and post it. I love it.
