Kaufman and MJ togetha forevah . . . on my wall (photoho that art!) So, since I've been travelling for the last few months it took me awhile to get my MJ by Kaufman framed. Then it was so big, I had to hire someone to hang it up.
But damn if it didn't come out beautiful! I also FINALLY got my Miles and Ella prints framed and hung after 5 years of being under my bed. This is Ray by the same artist as the other two. [Edited 5/10/10 14:18pm]

I need to take a moment to hate "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I'd leave it to ya in my will, if I wasn't scared I'd come up missing.

I LOVE the Ella Fritzgerald one
When I move in a couple of weeks, I plan on putting this picture on my wall and I want Stevie's Hotter Than July album cover as a poster too "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

It's one of my favorites too I wanna have a poster of that photo, one of the Parade cover or maybe Under The Cherry Moon box art, Stevie's Hotter Than July cover, and maybe one of The Nicholas Brothers or James Brown "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Something ELSE waiting to be framed is this portrait of Marvin Gaye done by Ronnie Wood of the Rolling Stones.

Those are really pretty and the framing is very well done.
I have 3 posters from the Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, CA. I've got one framed and will have to pay to have them hung in the foyer. It's such a process. I'm firmly planted in denial

Pics please IMO the framing is so important to set off artwork. No matter how much it costs. I've spent $100 to frame a $5 print cuz it makes a huge difference. It takes me forever to frame 'em cuz I keep buying more stuff and the conservation glass is so expensive that it costs almost as much as the art sometimes to get stuff framed. I keep saying I can't buy anything else until everything I currently own is framed and hung. That hasn't worked out too well tho.

I'm the same way except you actually hang your framed stuff and mine just sits around. Part of the reason it takes me forever to hang anything is because I'm so fickle about stuff like that. I already don't like the one I had done. I'll work on a pic. I keep buying stuff to. I totally get what you mean! I'm firmly planted in denial

I'd love to do movie posters, and start with Mahogany! That's gorgeous. I almost bought an original movie poster of Lady Sings the Blues but I waited too long. I got this original Spanish version of the Carmen Jones poster instead. NBJ, this one been leaning on the wall in my guest room, unhung, for over a year. [Edited 5/10/10 15:14pm]
